Any get their DC tax refund yet?

Submitted my taxes at the end of March. Received my federal refund within a few days. Refund from my old state last week. Just wondering how much longer until the DC one hits..

if it was your first time filing in DC i think they have to mail you a check

Good to know! I'll be on the lookout for it.

there’s also a way to check your refund status online!

I filed in January and it was my first time filing DC and they mailed it to me (did direct deposit for Federal) and it came in about 4-5 weeks. I ended up calling the office bc it seemed like it was taking a really long time and 1.) the woman I spoke to was SUPER helpful and 2.) She looked it up in the system and told me it had been mailed out so I just had to wait a little longer. It was in my mailbox the next day.

So if you start to get concerned I would just call them! Ganted I'm sure early-mid feb was probably a less busy time for them...

Who exactly do I call? I’ve seen online multiple numbers, not sure which one to call

They also seem to do it randomly. Ours was mailed to us despite designating a bank account and it being our second time filing together.

i think they also mail it if it’s the first time you’re putting in your direct deposit info

I think we may have changed it? So that tracks, I guess. And we're moving in the near future, so I'm sure they'll mail it again next year since we'll have a new address lol

Submitted in early February, got the refund about two weeks later.

Same. I submitted early March, got my refund mid-March.

No, and in my experience it’s always been months. If I file in April I usually get the federal refund in April and the DC refund in June.

Did you check mytax.dc.gov?

Filed around 4/9, received my refund this week

This was about the same time frame for me, my refund was deposited Tuesday.

Got mine last week. For some reason, they mailed me a check even though they’ve direct deposited funds into my bank account previously. I don’t know why the change, but I’ll take it. Filed my taxes the beginning of March.

Website says it takes up to 8 weeks

I filed in early February, and it took about 6 weeks.

I got mine this week

Filed (not first time in DC) in March and got it 10 days later into my bank

Yes

I filed in early February, didn't get a direct deposit until mid-March.

I filed on like April 10th and received my refund via direct deposit this week

I got mine with in days of filing…. Sent it in early April. 3rd year doing taxes in dc so maybe that helps

Always helps to do it early. Filed on Feb 11, got my direct deposit on Feb 21. They get super backed up in March/April.

I would have if my company didn't screw up my W-2 and then take a month to fix it 🙃

I just got it yesterday! I applied a month ago. This was my first time filing dc state and they mailed me a check.

I filed mine late February and got the refund late March or the first week of April. Not my first year so a bit different from you.

Filed March 30, still have not received it.

ETA: Not my first time filing in DC.

If you were a part-year resident there’s a pretty good chance they will withhold it from you and send you a letter saying you have to confirm your identity to get your refund. This has happened to me twice.

Same experience, federal deducted money from my account almost immediately, received my state tax refund in my account almost 3 weeks after? Maybe longer?

Nope, still waiting. Filed early April. Last time they mailed a check despite adding my direct deposit info so I'm keeping an eye on the mail as well
