- Judy LHunter Valley, Australia380 contributionsWe walked in this park twice. Nicely done, beautiful trees, loved the petanque court and the water features.Written September 27, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Richard PWorkington, UK44 contributionsthe chateau/castle is interesting enough and is part of the history of the defences of this border region;
it has two art exhibtion spaces - when we went we saw pictures by Jules-Emile Zingg and - more interesting to me - Henry Valensi (the exhibition showed a number of different styles of his paintings from the very precise/realistic work he did with the army in the First World War to abstract landscapes and pictures showing, for example, the motion of a tennis player;
it also has an exhibtion dedicated to Cuvier who was born in Belfort and was one of the founders of modern biological classification - in other words a really important scientist; we spent perhaps two hours here and coudl have spent longer but sadly the museum closed...Written September 2, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You had to put a helmet on and it all became very real.Written September 27, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CaFoodRepublicChico, CA647 contributionscovered this leg on the second of a four day trip. Quite enjoyable; well signed; and moderate drop as you move west. Sealed and quarantined trail for bikers all the way to Baune-les-dames.Written November 2, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Richard PWorkington, UK44 contributionsSt Martin's is the oldest purpose-built protestant church in France - part of the history of this region, which was not ruled by the Kings of France in the early 17th century;
so it's interesting historuically but the church is also a lovely space and there are friendly welcomers;
it houses a replica of its reredos/retable (the 16th Cent original is in the Kuntshistorisches Museum of Vienna) which has paintings of scenes from the BIble - they are very engaging - the church sells a print of the piture of the parable of the man with a "beam" in his eye and the man with a mote/speck in his;
well worth a visit;
