All About Storyberries

What is Storyberries?

Storyberries.com was founded in 2015 with the aim of creating a large, easily-accessible library of free-to-read quality stories, poems, fairy tales and comics for children. Since our launch we’ve rapidly found ourselves a beloved place in the hearts, homes and schools of children all around the world, and has had a reach of over 150 million so far.

Storyberries offers both classic and contemporary stories in an easy-to-read format with vibrant illustrations designed to excite children and engage them around reading. It also offers discussion guides designed to encourage caregivers and children the opportunity to explore real-life issues together over stories.

Stories at Storyberries are selected and organised by theme, enabling parents, teachers, caregivers and children to share learnings from literature in addressing common childhood issues such as bullying, empathy, beauty, self confidence, helping, stranger danger and more.  In doing so, we hope to harness the power of literature to empower children to understand their own evolving natures and special place in the world.

The Storyberries Mission

Our mission is threefold:

1. To encourage a culture of reading in families, stimulating literacy and an early passion for books, through offering easily-accessible, free quality stories, poems, fairy tales, chapter books and comic books, organised by theme and interest.

2. To humanise technology through encouraging dialogue around the process of reading, using technology to enhance rather than detract from our human interactions, and helping forge bonds between children and their caregivers around the pleasurable time of reading together.

3. To foster understanding between people and cultures by publishing stories that represent the richness and diversity of human experience.
