You won’t find pictures of the Beatles, or detailed historical facts about the band’s story, but that’s ok. There are lots of those books out there. But you will find that they did stay in touch with each other. And after all that their parting entailed it’s nice to know that they did!
post cards. My only complaint is I would
have liked to have more in the book.
Each side of the postcard is photographed and displayed on two pages so you can read the personal notes left by the sender along with little drawings etc. Ringo writes a brief description for each postcard and what was going on at that time (when he can remember) so you won't be left in the dark.
I found the book touching even though it was hard to read John's handwriting. :)
There's not much material in either version (book or collector's item). I rolled the dice on the collectible and hope it pays dividends for my kids after I'm gone. If you're a collector who really want to steep yourself in Beatle's nostalgia, check out :
the Places I Remember - My TIme with the Beatles by Henry Grossman.
If you're on a budget, here are two recent offerings that may be worth looking up:
Life magazine's With the Beatles or
Life Story's The Beatles - 50 Most Historic Moments
That comes through most of all when reading these postcards.
I like having this in my collection, and it was beautifully done.
I bough mine used, and it came in very good shape.
Would always rather have bought it new,but missed it when it came out.
Now the price is quite high to purchase new. I presume due to it being in low supply.

and George to Ringo, between the mid 1960’s through to the 1990’s, front and back with an accompanying memory of the time from Ringo.
Turns out Ringo enjoyed the pre-internet era when people actually used a pen and paper to write to each other, because he seems to have kept all his corespondents, very much to the benefit of us all!
