God Calling is amazing, am so glad to see others post with inspiring pics. Wish it had daily posts, which I know can be a challenge. Nonetheless, it gives a taste of the invincible spirit and intimate love along with it's practical solutions to situations in ourselves, others, or the world we live in. My Gramps, a man's man, gave each grandkid a copy. I still read daily, and have searched for something else comparable, but nothing is even on par. Take the God Calling Challenge.

You will never regret it. I have purchased about 7-8 of these books to give as gifts because I want others to know the truth of who we are and how amazing the word of God really is. Jesus is calling and Jesus is coming soon so why wait to get serious?

I heard about this book when I read the Introduction to Jesus Calling. I discovered that two anonymous women in the 1930's had written this book, which had then been carefully updated to speak in today's language and that it was the inspiration to Jesus Calling that I have been reading for years.

I ordered it out of curiosity and have been hooked on it since receiving it. It is equal, if maybe not on some days better, than my Jesus Calling book. I highly recommend this book for everyone who needs a quick, daily dose of God in their day.

I love that these two friends were called separately to this effort. They spent six years and "hundreds of hours of prayer" revising "God Calling," which had been written by Two Listeners 80 years ago. Lacie Stevens and Patti Velasquez write in a language that is flowing and reverential, having been guided to be "abundantly clear" while holding true to the book's original meanings. Though I've only glanced at another revision stated to be an American Usage Inclusive edition, I find this Stevens and Velasquez version more appealing to my American style. "God Calling" is becoming one of my favorite daily spiritual exercises.

This is a very good modern language update of the original wonderful book. My appreciation to the authors and their publisher. It would be really lovely if the editors of this could follow up with the version for Evening readings as well, called "God at Eventide". All the better if they could additionally have a combined edition of the two books published, (including in Kindle), as well. Both of Russel's books well deserve this.
