Hello,
I just bought a redmi note 13 pro and i'm trying to go through the unlocking process.
I linked my xiami account, activated oem unlock and usb debugging but when trying to add account and datas through the "miui unlock status" I get the following message:
"The system is being upgraded. Please try again later."
I tried to look around for solution but there seems to be very little information about that, and no solutions...
If someone had any pointer on how to move forward with this that would be amazing.

No advice, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on the phone once you've had some time to use it, especially the camera.
Sounds great so far, camera is good. Tbh the only reason i bought was because I needed a new phone, I already knew how to unlock xiaomi and it was one of the newest model for which I could find some support for custom rom.
But now I'm stuck with Google and xiaomi crap so not so happy about it. I hate Google with a passion and not being able to do whatever I want with my own phone infuriates me.
So yeah idk, I guess it's good for the price spec wise if you forget about all the software dystopian hellscape nonsense.
The phone is excellent , but the Chinese ROM is a mess if you are used to work with Google apps every day, notifications are a disaster, keeps telling you google keyboard is unsafe, outlook won't show message preview on lock screen, search is tightened to chinese engine, now they have the global ROM available which I already downloaded but we are unable to unlock the bootloader

I've contacted that person but says that my model doesn't unlock bootloader

My device is the same too and I've got the same problem but the person told me that is not possible for our model
The same here, all I learned is that I shouldn't have installed the update and newer MIUI versions do this till it's not new anymore. But not sure if that's true tho.
I factory resetted the phone, no updates and it is still the same thing.
Just read that devs made it harder to unlock. It seems like I'll need to reach Lv5 on my Xiaomi community account, and give some tests to get able to do it.

Since I've posted my 1st comment here, I finally just got able to unlock it via Xiaomi Community app. Haven't reached Lv5 but has been actively using the app for past 30 days and received a this ( https://imgur.com/XRQGt70 ) notification today. But I've decided to wait HyperOS.

I updated it to MIUI 14.9 because it said "being upgraded", but it's still the same.

Same issue on Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5g.
Whatever I disconnect from my xiaomi account, it will let me connect again but nothing more next... still looking what is the cause as everything as app and system are already updated.

i find solution , pay someone ; he can convert the chinese rom to global rom , he do it for me yesterday but now i dont have NFC so dont know if the is no NFC in chinese version converted to global .

I dont 't know if anybody found solution, but I think I am. With Redmi Note 13 Pro series it is needed to perform steps like for HyperOS. So.. you have to apply for unlocking in Xiaomi Community app (version minimum 5.3.31). If it says that limit has been reached, try again next day at midnight at local time for Beijin, China. It worked for me.
