Eddie Murphy stands out as a seasoned celebrity dad, having fathered a total of 10 children whose ages span from 2 to 31 years old.

Among his diverse brood is Bella, aged 19, the youngest of his five offspring with former spouse Nicole Murphy, who interestingly portrays his on-screen daughter in the recently released movie “Coming 2 America.”

In an exclusive interview with the Mirror, a British newspaper, Murphy delved into the realm of fatherhood, asserting that it holds a paramount position in his life.

Describing it as “the center of everything,” he expressed that at nearly 60 years old, his focus has shifted towards his family, eclipsing his professional pursuits.

Glimpsing into his personal evolution, the renowned star proclaimed, “The era of juggling multiple film projects annually is a thing of the past.

With all my little ones around, the landscape has changed.”

Emphasizing that prioritizing his children has been a guiding principle, he shared, “I have come to realize that placing my kids above all else ensures sound decision-making.”

Murphy’s journey as a parent commenced in 1989 when he welcomed his first child, Eric, with then-partner Paulette McNeeley.

Subsequently, Tamara Hood gave birth to his son Christian in the following year.

Following his marriage to Nicole Mitchell in 1993, the couple expanded their family with five children: Bria, Myles, Shayne, Zola, and Bella.

Post his divorce in 2006, Murphy faced public scrutiny amidst claims by former Spice Girl Mel B regarding paternity over her daughter Angel, born in April 2007.

Upon subsequent paternity confirmation, Angel was embraced into Murphy’s family.

Additionally, he shares two children with longtime partner Paige Butcher, a daughter born in 2016 and a son in 2018.

Reflecting on his parental journey, Murphy radiated pride as he described each of his children with admiration.

“My kids are truly a blessing,” he expressed.

“There isn’t a single troublesome seed among them.
