TORONTO (May 5, 2024) – A new crop of single Canadian Farmers are ready to embark on an epic journey for love as the CTV Original unscripted dating series FARMING FOR LOVE returns for its second season, Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT beginning May 29 on CTV, CTV.ca, and the CTV app. Based on Fremantle’s long-running and successful international hit format THE FARMER WANTS A WIFE, which has resulted in 200 weddings and more than 500 children to date, the new season follows four single Farmers as they work to nurture multiple simultaneous relationships with their hand-picked daters in an attempt to cultivate true love. For a sneak peek of the whirlwind romances, the emotional highs and lows, and the steamy make out sessions that viewers can expect this season on FARMING FOR LOVE, click here. Over the course of 10 episodes set in the sweeping hills, meadows, and coastlines of B.C.’s rural communities, FARMING FOR LOVE’s four single Farmers invite their chosen dating partners to live and work alongside them on their farms in hopes of growing a romantic connection. Hearts soar and break in the same breath as, week after week, the stakes get higher while Farmers and Daters navigate emotional surprises and difficult decisions. Joined by host and comedian Sabrina Jalees (ROAST BATTLE CANADA), the four Farmers seeking love this season include:
  • Erin, a second-generation soil-to-shelf dairy farmer from Creston, B.C.
  • Kirkland, a two-spirit, gay former rodeo champion turned cattle farmer and horse boarder from Rosedale, B.C
  • Josh, a hockey-playing, cowboy-hat-wearing dairy farmer from Chilliwack, B.C.
  • Mischa, a fourth-generation beekeeper and orchardist from Lillooet, B.C.
More information on Canada’s most eligible Farmers and the Daters vying for their love will be available on CTV.ca/FarmingForLove. In the Season 2 premiere, “The Start of My Love Story”, airing Wednesday, May 29 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CTV, CTV.ca, and the CTV app, a fresh crop of eligible Farmers meet a group of exciting new Daters all vying for a shot at romance and a coveted invitation to experience love in the country back on the farms. Through a whirlwind of flirty and fast-paced speed dates, strong connections and bold moves secure some hopefuls’ chances while others fail to make a mark. Exclusive videos are available throughout the season on the @CTV and @FarmingForLoveCTV social channels, along with CTV.ca and the CTV app, providing viewers with extended never-before-seen footage from the series, and exclusive digital content including behind-the scenes and lighthearted moments from this season.
