Had not been there in ages and the menu had changed, to be expected, but not for the better. Was there for Mother's Day brunch and there was nothing festive about it. Pricey for what it was but tasty nonetheless.

I specifically called this restaurant inquiring about very low sodium meals as my mom has heart issues. I was told that most all of the meals can be made with a salt substitute. When we arrived, we inquired about this with the waitress( who was not knowledgeable on this subject) and she said she would ask a manager. The answer came back as "the eggs" can be unsalted and we have unsalted butter! My mom didn't want the make waves and ask more questions, so she had 2 eggs and some wheat toast for her mother's day. I was really disappointed in this restaurant. Would not go back ever again

Our food was excellent. Our server, Seth was so friendly and helpful. The ladies at the front desk were also very warm and inviting. We had a lovely meal and made it to our performance event in time.

Unfortunately, the food was extremely poor. The staff was lovely but they could not compensate for the inadequate cuisine.

True Food has a fabulous happy hour with reasonable prices and tons of wonderful options on drinks and shareables, so we were thrilled to have arrived in time to take advantage of that, ordering refreshing well-made cocktails and the zesty and yummy Buffalo cauliflower bites to start. We eventually also enjoyed the wonderful Brussels sprouts starter (one of the best recipes being served in any restaurant right now, in my opinion!) and a roasted butternut squash pizza (soooo good! From the current seasonal menu, so I’m sad it might disappear soon.) The true highlight was the attentive, cheerful service of Melissa. Melissa has an affable and engaging personality and we felt really connected in our conversations during our dining experience, which put it over the top. This TFK location comes with our highest recommendation!

The kitchen got overwhelmed and stressed out. The table was underserved. We ran out of things very quickly, and no one came out to check and they disappeared. We waited an excessive amount of time for our dinner. It’ll be a long time before I go back there.

Good food. Good selection. Healthy choices Nice location. Easy parking . I would like if there is choice of bread also. Since flat bread has been taken off the menu, Some sort of bread has to be on the menu, NOT PITA BREAD

The food was great! Our server could’ve been friendly, but maybe she was having a bad day? We went for brunch and had vegans and meat eaters at the table and everyone enjoyed their meal.

Had a wonderful brunch here with family visiting from the East Coast. Sis-in-law had the Ancient Grains, one of my favorites, and loved it. Brother had the quiche, which was excellent. I had the avocado toast, which is light yet filling.

TFK SM ticked the box for a casual Sunday catch up with friends. Service was lacking a little but still got the job done. Despite a questionable grade of Tuna which was more brown in color then a vibrant red everything was tasty. I will always recommend TFK but it has lost its spark from pre Covid days.

True Food at the Santa Monica Promenade is a great place to settle in for a brunch with friends and family during a day of holiday shopping. Not only is it a close walk from the boardwalk and pier, but it serves delicious healthy food generous in portions, and big on yummy flavors. Highly recommended.

popular chicken bowl was cold when it came out…Brussel portion very small. Did not feel like $100 dining experience (just 2 appetizers & 2 small bowls - No alcohol. Very overpriced for what you get. :( server was GREAT! Not her fault at all. We won’t be back unless we really want to overpay for mediocre experience

Found this restaurant last minute. Made a quick trip to the pier. Really was a great surprise. Had a wonderful breakfast. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks.
