Origin | Lubbock, Texas, U.S. |
Genres | Bluegrass music |
Years active | 1949–1952 |
In 1949, Buddy Holly and Bob Montgomery formed the American musical duo, Buddy and Bob. The two sang bluegrass-inspired harmony duets around town.[1]
Ultimately, the musical act’s end was not a true end, but rather an evolution for Buddy and Bob’s act. The reason they ceased to be Buddy and Bob was because they began to play with their friend, Larry Welborn. The Buddy and Bob duo then became the Buddy, Bob, and Larry trio.[2]
