Mr Shuttle and the team were amazing throughout the whole process from booking to confirmation to the day itself. After a few stories about last minute cancellations ( for Auschwitz) from other providers we were a little worried……but we had nothing to be worried about. The trip was ‘flipped’ with a trip to the Salt Mines first, but everything worked like clockwork throughout the whole day from pick up to drop off. Yes, it’s a long day, but was worth it. The minibus driver was helpful, the tour guides at both venues were brilliant and the lunch provided was beyond our expectations! The minibus was the nicest I have ever been on. I had read that many of the Auschwitz tours get cancelled maybe the day before. I was assured that this would not happen. It was also fun to take a small detour en route to walk over the border into Slovakia. I was lucky enough to visit Zakopane on a clear day so the view from the top of the mountain was spectacular. However, I was very disappointed to find that that when you take the funicular up the mountain you cannot get a sense of natural beauty, there is only a long path full of stalls selling souvenirs. What was enjoyable was the bobsleigh activity & taking a round trip on the chair lift (located some distance down the main path). The guide was knowledgeable & friendly, he made the trip enjoyable. It was also great to only have 4 other people on the trip with me. The headphones are a great touch when it is hard to get everyone in the same room as it can be a squish when others are at the museum. It helps you to look around the rooms while still listening. The food and beer were marvellous and a great experience as we did not know much about what to expect. Gave us recommendations of places to visit and eat at various stops. Thermal baths was busy but not impacting our visit and we were able to use all the facilities comfortably.
