This year, I enrolled at Piper and have been thoroughly impressed by its esteemed reputation. Before attending, I heard various opinions about the school's atmosphere. However, my experience thus far has been successful. Piper provides ample resources for achievement, and leveraging them leads to success. I appreciate the school's diversity and the principal's genuine concern for student well-being.
When I first came to Piper as a freshman the school was not in a good state. Unfortunately due to poor decision of previous students Piper’s reputation suffered. It was up to the current students including myself to help bring Piper to its former glory. Thankfully the current students at Piper now know how to show their bengal pride. The help of extracurricular activities, improved academics and our school spirit has now helped bring back our good reputation. Another key factor in bringing back our schools success is our teachers. Our teachers actually care about how their students are doing. The teachers at Piper always find new and innovative ways to challenge their students and that’s just the tip of the Iceberg form of what the staff are like at Piper. Our one and only principal Ms. Hautigan goes above and beyond for our students. From turning Piper into an AICE school to even getting new desk she does it all. In the end, it’s only my junior year. I can’t wait for PHS next steps.
