- L KAlpena, MI195 contributionsI didn't think a historical battlefield would be interesting but I was wrong. The visitor's center has many interactive displays that were so well thought out. I really enjoyed it and will go back if I'm in the area again. It was hard to find. Google maps sent us to the wrong location.Written April 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Helene GIroquois, Canada235 contributionsgorgeous beach, there are jellyfish and the dangerous blue jellyfish in the water, I would not go in personally. - Tabitha SHatley, WI108 contributionsThis is my second time here and it never gets old. The zoo is clean, easy to get around, and has so many animals! I hope to visit again!!Written March 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ForfeitBoy4 contributionsWe were hesitant at first to book our stay here during a short vacation. We're glad we did. The staff was wonderful, especially Carla, who checked us in and who helped with a work-related matter than came up during our stay, going beyond what I would have expected. The room was good, but not luxurious (it IS, after all, a Fairfield Inn). But the hotel itself is relatively new, and it showed. We never waited more than 15 seconds for the elevator. There is plenty of parking. The breakfast was okay -- the usual cereals, oatmeal, eggs and meats. But it was hot and fresh. The one downside was that we were not told that housekeeping cleaned the room only every other day. But they replenished the towels immediately when we called the front desk. And, although not cheap, it was the least expensive of the hotels in the area. Overall, very nice experience. Would stay again.Written February 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Fonthill-CDNFonthill, Canada14 contributionsBirders, drawn to this Park for its notoriety with rare migrants. Initially disappointed that no bird tours offered due to staff shortage, soon to be remedied. Hopped on to tram with minimal expectations and was brilliantly surprised. Raul, outstanding birder himself, spoke at length during the tour of local vegetation, herps (found us a Northern Rough Green Snake), neighbourhood conservation, local burns, rare habitat preservation and indigenous wildlife. If visiting here looking for specific local knowledge, ask for Raul!Written March 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - tatts15Centennial, CO372 contributionsA recent visit to the Stillman House and neighboring museum was well worth the effort. The museum was very interesting, well organized and informative. Fairly small but loaded with well presented information. The lovely Stillman House has additional information and offers a sense of what life was like in the 1800’s in Brownsville. Definitely worth a visit. Great for history buffs!!Written January 17, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
