Agatha Christie Novels in Order

Agatha Christie wrote 66 novels in total so if you want to read them all, find out what order they were published or just see which ones you may not have discovered yet, we have the full list of every novel written by Agatha Christie (under her own name) below.

We have also listed out below the novels for Poirot and Miss Marple should you wish to read these specifically.

Although you do not have to read all the novels in order of publication, there are some references to earlier cases in the Poirot novels (these have *s next to their titles) – specifically:

  • ‘Peril at End House’ makes reference to ‘The Mystery of the Blue’ train
  • Three Act Tragedy is referred to in ‘Death in the Clouds’, ‘The ABC Murders’ and ‘Hercule Poirot’s Christmas’.

In the case of Miss Marple, the main books to read in order are ‘A Caribbean Mystery’ and ‘Nemesis’ – ‘Nemesis’ is a follow on novel to ‘A Caribbean Mystery’ and could include spoilers so I really recommend you wait until you read Nemesis if you haven’t yet read the first novel.
