The children's TV industry has been set alight since Quiet on Set premiered in the US in early March.

The four-part Investigation Discovery documentary featured former Nickelodeon child stars speaking out about the disturbing working environments at the network.
Now, after 20 million Americans tuned into Quiet on Set, Investigation Discovery is releasing a special fifth episode.
Entitled Breaking the Silence, it will return to many interviewees including Drake Bell, but it will also look at the fallout from the revelations, and how the industry can move forward in a way that protects children.
Drake Bell forgives but can't forget
The central point of Quiet on Set's original run was Drake & Josh star Drake Bell revealing that he was sexually abused by Nickelodeon dialogue coach Brian Peck in the early 00s.
Peck was charged and convicted at the time, spending 16 months behind bars.
In Breaking the Silence, Bell appears again for a further interview with journalist Soledad O'Brien, where he says he had been approached to tell his story publicly before.
"I wasn't ready and said no, but when the people from the doc reached out to me and I was speaking with [director Emma Schwartz], she just made me feel really comfortable and she took her time and was really sensitive," Bell said.
O'Brien also touched on the dozens of character letters that were written in support of Peck when he faced a courtroom, many coming from high-profile actors and industry figures.
Boy Meets World cast members Will Friedle and Rider Strong have both spoken publicly about their regrets over supporting Peck.
But Bell says they have not reached out to him personally yet.
"I worked with Will on Spider-Man and there was a lot of opportunity to apologise or talk about it and never did," Bell says.
"I really appreciate that they've got their perspective now, but I mean that day [in the courtroom] is so ingrained in my mind. Not one person who's written one of those letters has reached out to me."
All That cast members react to Schneider's apology
Giovonnie Samuels and Bryan Hearne are two other former Nickelodeon cast members featured in Quiet on Set who returned for the fifth episode.
"Both of us had to kind of take a step back from social media and whatnot because … the only way we can describe it is overwhelming, in a good way," Samuels says of the response to Quiet on Set.
Samuels reveals that Schneider contacted her the week before the documentary aired.
"I got a phone call … He asked if I could give a quote of support," Samuels says.
"He knew I was in the documentary for a year, he was like 'I love Geo, she's nice, she's great, she could tell my side.'
"I told him I was terrified of him. I said, 'You had the power to make people stars.' I was intimidated by him."
Both Samuels and Hearne reject Schneider's apology, asking where he was when Jennette McCurdy made similar accusations in her memoir I'm Glad My Mom Died.
"Dan was an actor before all of this and so I think that he brushed off some chops and gave us a nice performance," Hearne says.
"And I just feel that, what's an apology without accountability?"
Samuels and Hearne are shown the clip of Schneider's apology where he is asked about the treatment of diverse people in his career, eliciting sighs from them both.
"My gripe with the way that question was answered is that the question itself was posed to him about us, right," Samuels says.
"He said, 'Oh, I jump-started the careers with Kenan and Kel.' So they talked about us being overlooked, and then he overlooked us in his answer."
More former cast members come forward
Between Quiet on Set and Breaking the Silence, several former Nickelodeon and Schneider cast members have spoken publicly about their experiences.
Former All That player and current Saturday Night Live star Kenan Thompson spoke out on daytime talk show Tamron Hall, expressing that while he did not experience the same things, he supports the cast members coming forward.
"I wasn't really aware of a lot of it, but my heart goes out to anybody that's been victimised or their families, you know what I mean?" Thompson said.
"I think it's a good thing that the doc is out and it's putting things on display that need to be, you know, stories that need to be told for accountability's sake."
Matthew Underwood, who played Logan on Zoey 101, took to Instagram to share the moments that led to him quitting acting — including being molested at 12 by a friend's father, and sexually assaulted at 19 by his then-agent.
"Why am I telling you this? Well, lately many people have been blowing up my email telling me they hope me and my mom die and that we burn in hell, I'm being called a paedophile defender and all that jazz," he wrote.
Underwood goes on to say that he never had a problem working with Schneider on Nickelodeon and urged the public to respect the privacy of the people who did.
Former Naked Brothers Band cast member Allie DiMeco released a TikTok revealing the "trauma" she experienced while working on the Nickelodeon show.
"They made me kiss this 30-plus-year-old man when I was like, what, 14, 15? I told them many times that I didn't want to do it," DiMeco says.
"My mom was very against it and they pretty much made me feel like I was going to lose my job, that I might be fired if I didn't do it."
DiMeco goes on to advocate for autonomy for children working in entertainment.
Where to from here?
Beyond the voices that return in Breaking the Silence, an additional All That cast member comes forward for the first time: Shane Lyons.
Lyons recounts the interactions he had with Brian Peck, and says he wants to go public to keep the conversation going about how to improve the industry for children.
"Updating the law first and foremost, so that no individual who is a convicted child molester can ever get on a Hollywood set again," Lyons says.
"Currently, there's a loophole in the law that as long as there's a guardian or a parent omnipresent on the set, they don't have to hire people who go through a background check."
Lyons also speaks about the importance of disrupting the "cult of personality" in Hollywood.
"We get into their sphere and their orbit and no one wants to disrupt what's happening above or below," he says.
"I'm hoping that the impact [of the documentary] sustains and it's not just a flash in the pan of interest. There's real change that needs to occur and I'm hoping this is a first stepping stone for that."
