Aside from Howlin Wolf, Freddie is my favorite electric blues musician and he's also my favorite blues guitarist ever. With a funky style that lends itself to his signature instrumentals and a powerful, passionate voice, Freddie is a fun yet formidable figure in the history of the blues. "Hideaway" was/is required material for any musician working the blues club circuit, "Have You Ever Loved A Woman?" is definitive and "San-Ho-Zay", "Tore Down", "Palace of the King", "Going Down" and "The Stumble" are major highlights as well. About as good as the blues gets.
