- faozanrizalBerlin, Germany3,561 contributionsWe came in winter, the museum presented The collection of Emil Nolde a German great painter. It was nice exhibition and the high lights was the architecture of this museum is just amazing! Using old brick from ruined monastery in French to build one of Schwäbisch architecture masterpieces makes our visit worth. The museum is not so big just enough time to explore and to meditate with the paintings.Written January 4, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Erik MVienna, Austria430 contributionsIt was amazing that the museum was preserving such old buildings in town back to 1150. Very well presented and explained, though it is not hugeWritten October 7, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nicolas PLuce, France114 contributionsThis is interesting to learn about the company and games but due to the fact that only audio guide are in English ONLY, don’t go with young children who cannot understand anything by them self; it becomes only a playground for them with many people.Written August 24, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Traveller87987687Bangkok, Thailand3,133 contributionsThe public library of Ravensburg is located in the old “Kornhaus” or: granary. As the name suggests, the building was used as storage and trading place for corn (crops) for almost 500 years, until the beginning of the 20th century.
It has been completely renovated and modernized before turning it into the public library. The most interesting part for a traveller that visits the place is not the books, but the interior look. As beautiful it may be already from the outside, I found the interior look even more impressive. The architects did a really good job by preserving the historical layout. On 4 floors you will be amazed by the massive wooden beams the whole building rests on. They really show its age.
There is a small reading corner with all the latest magazines (German only) to read (not to take away!) for free. And there is a coffee vending machine where you can buy hot beverages for 1 Euro or less. It makes for a great and inexpensive rest area during a walking tour of Ravensburg.
Free WiFi and free restrooms (on the second floor) are available.
Like any other public library in Germany, it is closed on Mondays.Written November 17, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. "Church of Our Lady" is the closest translation of the name that I could find.
It is one of the oldest churches in Ravensburg. It is located right next to the “Frauentor” (Women’s Gate), near the Green Tower (Grüner Turm).
There is no admission fee, but I’m not sure about the opening times when there is no church service. If the front door is locked, try one of the side doors, facing Herrenstraße.Written November 9, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
