Miles Dougal "Movie Melt" podcast interview, focusing heavily on his time acting in Giuseppe Andrews' films:
This came out a while ago, I'm curious if anyone else has listened / has any thoughts about it. Miles Dougal was a huge contributor to Giuseppe's films, starring as the lead in several, and is a very well spoken/ intelligent/ entertaining guy. There are some insights into his various roles over the years with a particular focus on his time acting in Giuseppe Andrews' films. Very worth listening to if you're a fan of Giuseppe's work, probably second only to "Giuseppe Makes A Movie" in terms of providing a bit of a peek behind the curtain.
A few interesting quotes from the interview:
"The films themselves were almost a byproduct of this... creative work we were doing"
"They were all alcoholics - as were all of us, by the way (...) Me, Giuseppe and Giuseppe's dad, we were all abstinence, or absolute substance problems."
"His dad would make him meals, drive him everywhere... RAN his career..."
"Everything Giuseppe did was kind of, you know, on this kitsch pedestal, every subject in a Giuseppe film is heightened, by this kind of extreme focus"
"I had a bit of a falling out with them.. they wanted to come in and shoot a whole movie in my house (...) We had a big falling out, they cussed me out, I cussed them out, it was bizarre actually."
"It wasn't long after that that I did, in fact stop drinking and stop drugging and... so I was kind of okay with moving in a different direction"

I'm a huge fan of Miles and I've tracked down/ purchased a solid 75% of the stuff he's been in, as far as I'm concerned he's a way bigger acting talent than his status reflects. Any comments about your thoughts about this interview, favourite roles Miles has been in, etc. are very appreciated!
