      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Slick as a well-pressed suit and given watchable wattage by its cast, Guy Ritchie's The Gentlemen doesn't seamlessly expand upon the original movie but has enough verve to be fun on its own terms.

Camilla Long Times (UK) It is difficult to think of another director who’s evolved less than Ritchie. Honestly, how does he do it? Mar 11, 2024 Full Review Hugo Rifkind Times (UK) Ritchie is mockable for the same reason that he is imitable, which is that he birthed a genre. The trouble with The Gentlemen, though, is that it feels less like it’s been made by an imitator than it has been by a bot. Mar 11, 2024 Full Review Wenlei Ma The Nightly (AU) The eight-episode format does not suit Ritchie. The pacing lags behind the manic kineticism of his features while it gives him even more space to indulge in his unnecessarily complicated plots. Mar 10, 2024 Full Review Maria Lattila Film Stories There’s absolutely nothing going on underneath the surface of The Gentlemen, but it’s indulgent fun. It also shows Ritchie at his most relaxed, something that has been missing from his later work. Apr 12, 2024 Full Review Austin Burke Austin Burke/Flick Fan Nation Guy Ritchie’s style translates beautifully to this format, and these characters are ridiculously entertaining. The story may not stand out, but the explosive sequences and cheeky approach makes for a fun binge. Rated: 7.5/10 Apr 12, 2024 Full Review Christopher Stevens Daily Mail (UK) All Ritchie's hallmarks are here: shotguns, hard men with Kray Twin accents, briefcases full of cash... Whenever the story threatens to become challenging, captions flash up to explain who the characters are and what they're plotting. Apr 10, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Baron T haha. Guy Ritchie doing what Guy Ritchie does. Much better than the film. Well worth the watch. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/05/24 Full Review DL W I liked the first two episode and then I just lost interest. Seemed too redundant. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/28/24 Full Review Lucas H Good show but just overly to predictable no real twists or turns that aren't extremely obvious Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/27/24 Full Review Evan N Started out great, stayed consistent through the first few episodes. Started getting janky around episode 5 and by the season end, was completely disappointing. Felt like they ran out of the budget. They built up a fight with the big bad introduced in the beginning and then axed it with a phone call and a middle finger to the audience. Everything got "resolved" in the most ridiculous ways in literally the last 15 minutes. If these "resolutions" were always on the table, they could have wrapped the whole story up by the second episode. Sad way to end. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/26/24 Full Review Osc B Una excelente transición de la película a una serie. Buenas actuaciones, locaciones y el sello inigualable de Ritchie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/24/24 Full Review Sabrina W This show had me and my friends hooked immediately! Watched every episode in 1 day!! Plus Theo portrays his role flawlessly and im always impressed with each movie or TV series he plays!! Hoping they will find a way to do another series!!
