Question
I have a laptop i’m able to use for now. I’ve searched a few websites to reset but they’re all paid.
I’m unable to install itunes on my laptop, can’t use find my, can’t go to icloud and use Erase Ipad cause it needs the ipad to be connected to internet.
Any ideas? I’m extremely frustrated.

Take a breath and please explain the situation more clearly because what you wrote doesn’t make sense?
How is the iPad not available? Has it been stolen or gone missing?
Are you trying to erase it or actually restore it?
What kind of laptop do you have, Windows or Mac?
Why can’t you use FindMy?
What can’t you use FindMy on iCloud?
Sorry, i didn’t explain the situation well.
Ipad has a dead spot on a few letters, so i can’t type in the password, i can’t afford to get it fixed and don’t trust the places here (the ipad got the dead spots when we went to fix the charging port).
This was over a year ago, Ive given up now and am trying to delete everything just to use it. The screen shows “Ipad Unavailable” It doesn’t say connect to iTunes like I’ve heard.
Doenst restore mean to delete everything and install latest version? Not sure on the terms, but im trying to factory reset.

Okay, yes, restore or reset are essentially the same. It results in erasing and re-installing a new operating system.
No matter which method you use the iPad, or the computer used to restore it, will require a connection to the internet to download the new operating system.
Alright the computer i can do, it’s connected. But itunes isn’t compatible with my windows 8.1. Don’t think i can use findmy.
Any other method? Any websites? I’ve got the ipad in recovery mode now i just need something to delete it all

How did you get it in to recovery mode?
Yes, i have an icloud that’s signed into it, but am unable to do anything much.
i pressed the home button and off button until it showed the recovery icon
If you can’t get to the Settings of the iPad or you can’t use a computer to reset your iPad there is a third way that involves entering the passcode incorrectly a few times to get to a reset screen. It is explained in this video and there is a caveat related to the version of iPadOS.
I’ve never tried this method so YMMV but the worst that can happen is you’ll have to use the computer method which may mean installing some software if you don’t have it already.
