- David RNeutral Bay, Australia1,450 contributionsPeter always seems to have interesting things in the gallery, sculptures and paintings it's a treasure trove of interesting pieces. Better still work up an appetite and sample the great Thai food in the restaurant that's inside the gallery.Written 27 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lourens PostBreukelen, The Netherlands54 contributionsThis as a small cathedral (protestant) church (14th century) with some special elements: a tomb in the choir and lots of memorial boards, all related to the family living at the time at Nyenrode.
The organ is a beautiful Batz baroque organ, which can sometimes be heard during a concert.
Not normally opened for visits. Only during concerts and the Dutch Monuments Day.Written 9 October 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - WorldTravelOneAmsterdam, The Netherlands8,664 contributionsThe blue and white 'VVV' sign in Breukelen directs you to the local bookshop. The shop has books, magazines and office supplies. The VVV / tourist information section is in a certain part of the shop. There are maps and books on the region. - WorldTravelOneAmsterdam, The Netherlands8,664 contributionsIn a bend of the Laan van Gunterstein is the public entrance to this park. It is lovely with meadows and trees. The way up to it is not so nice because it is a shared road with pedestrians, people riding their bike, motorcycles and cars have to share the road. As a pedestrian you are the weakest part of traffic. The road is relatively narrow and when cars coming from both ways, it is kind of scary. The park itself is good for a relaxing walk. The public part is separated by a small 'no entrance' sign on a chain from the part that is restricted because it is in use by the family that owns the park and the castle. It is great that the family does share the park with the public. Chapeau! The rating 'average' is because of the scary road (for pedestrians) to the park and the lack of parking (so you have to walk to get there; and that is scary).Written 3 September 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - allyson175Elkins, WV15 contributionsVery friendly and helpful bike shop. Rentals offered by the day and multi-day. Online reservation was easy, but needed to use a translate app since our Dutch language skills are lacking. In person we were able to communicate in English, and are grateful for that. Bikes were sized appropriately and in very good shape—we rented city bikes. We were provided a phone number to call if problems (we had none). The area is beautiful and a great place to start a ride along the Vecht.Written 4 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
