SOUND MUSEUM VISION. This huge subterranean space in Shibuya has many different moods. GAIA, the main floor, has one of the best custom-made sound systems in the world. DEEP SPACE is imbued with pure underground spirit. In two different lounge spaces, you can enjoy two different atmospheres - WHITE is sexy; D-LOUNGE is warm. We offer you a stimulating setting born of the collaboration between leading artists on the global scene and an unpredictable chain reaction triggered by the interaction of various creative elements, such as art, fashion, performance and motion graphics. A new vision to guide us to the future of Tokyo will be born in this magnetic field where people and culture will be drawn together to meet.

There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.

Things only get started after midnight. We waited until 2am for Dam Funk to take the stage. While it was totally worth it, the club can get really stuffy and smokey. There are a few different rooms for different styles of music, and big name djs often play here.

The trendiest clubs in Shibuya. Beautiful people, beautiful music and beautiful venue. Went on a Monday and was still pretty crowded but there was room to dance. Only con around 4am my ears started to hurt, the sound system is out of this world but probably one of the most damaging I have ever experienced.

Went in for a relatively normal night on friday. It was free entry for girls.
We asked if we could leave and come back inside (in japanese), and the girl at the front desk said yes.
We went out for a bit (it can get really hot in the club) and when we tried to go back in they said we have to pay 600 yen to get back inside, even though it was closing in like 30 mins.
We said they told us we can go back in, but they refused to let us inside without paying.
Overall terrible end to a night. Never going back there again.

Australian review,
I've been to many clubs throughout Japan, I was the most dissappointed in sound museum.
Around $40Aud entry, no free drink, no stamp out.
Drinks at the bar were more expensive than any other I've been to in Tokyo.
I'm a big club lover, been to many around the world, the sound in the club was so loud to the point is was not enjoyable.
Other people including Japanese were covering their ears at some point.
I would recommend giving this place a miss.

My boyfriend and I went here on a night that SHINICHI OSAWA playing. It's a spacious venue with 4 rooms but can get crowded - and I can see why! Good music, wonderful sound system, friendly (and fast) bar service and respectful and lovely crowd! We arrived around midnight and ended up staying till close at 5am because we fell in love with this place and the music! 80s kidz and Dexpistols were amazing!

Fantastic music - much better than womb! Only issue was at about 3am it was over capacity. Seems they value $$ than patrons experience. Honestly it was just people everywhere pushing each other and you could not dance...Really disappointing, drink prices were moderate and crowd was a mix of tourists and Japanese. The main room has a fantastic sound system

We went with a group of 6 for New Years. There is around 4 different rooms with different music. Music was loud and generally house/electronic. Drinks are reasonably priced at approx 800yen for a mixer. Good night out for dancing and drinking. Was very busy on New Years eve.Would recommend.

This club embodies one of the reasons I love Tokyo: great, imaginative design whether be it architecture, culinary, fashion, whatever. From the outside, this subterranean club seems not much larger than a clothing store. The staff starting with the bouncers were professional. Layout-wise, there are 4 main rooms of varying size. If my poor memory serves me right, the club is divided into two main parts with each part containing two rooms. To access the other half, you need to enter a long hallway where smoking is permitted. There are 4 bars? Drinks are expensive. For 500 yen, you get half a glass of alcohol. And for 700 yen, you get bottled water. Don't quote me on the price but it is in the ballpark. What I really loved about this place is the way they use different coloured lighting to give each room its own unique vibe, kinda like the movie Heat (for those old enough to know what I'm talking about). Anyways, like any club, the x-factor is always the crowd; and that is not the establishment's fault.

I came here New Year's Day after the countdown in Shibuya Crossing. Got to the club around 1am. No wait at the door, got my passport checked and backpack searched. No outside food and drinks so got my water bottle thrown out.

Normal cover after midnight is 5,000 yen (whopping 45 dollars) for guys but you can save 1,500 yen ($14) by pre-purchasing your tickets online before the event.

They have lockers but they were all taken by the time I got there. And when I got down to the main floor, it was packed. It was probably about 50% foreigners and 50% Japanese surprisingly.

Not sure how much drinks were since after that cover didn't want to buy anything. Still had a blast though. When I went, it was Blackfoot playing and their music (70s Disco style combined with electronic) combined with the good vibes and fun nature of the crowd made it a fun night. Ended up staying till 4am before leaving. They closed up shop at 5am.
