TV newsman Huw Edwards to pay tribute to Welsh firebrand David Lloyd George

David Lloyd Georgeas a young mancredit Gwynedd Archives Service Modern Wales was shaped by Welsh firebrand David Lloyd George, TV newsman Huw Edwards will argue on the 100th anniversary of the politician becoming Prime Minister. £100 before the 100th year?

Year 8 pupils Tonypandy Community College in the Rhondda heard about our appeal on the radio and have set themselves a target to raise £100 before the 100th anniversary of Lloyd George becoming Prime Minister on 7th December 2016. The group took part in a Dragon’s Den style pitch to decide which ideas would progress beyond the ideas stage and so far the year 8 boys raised £10.50 by face painting at break time during their school eisteddfod having decided on the idea knowing that Lloyd George was an important supporter of such events.
