Steve Coogan to marry
Comedian Steve Coogan is to marry this week, after a catalogue of failed relationships.
The television star - best known for playing Norwich DJ Alan Partridge - will wed his on- off girlfriend Caroline Hickman, 30, at an undisclosed register office.
Miss Hickman, a great niece of the late Cardinal Basil Hume and former flame of billionaire Zac Goldsmith, was said to have separated from the comedian in July, shortly after moving into his luxury flat in Brighton.
Coogan, 37, is known to have had other lovers since the end of their three-year-relationship, with a lap dancer revealing all to a Sunday newspaper last week.
Coogan, who rose to fame as the voice of characters such as Margaret Thatcher and Neil Kinnock on the Spitting Image show, has one of the most chequered romantic histories in showbusiness.
He said recently: 'If my behaviour changes, it will be because I think it ought to, not because of what anyone says about me. But I have never claimed to be a paragon of virtue.'
