President Theodore Roosevelt High School Reviews
Rating 3.75 out of 5 475 reviews
President Theodore Roosevelt has a lot to offer, whether it be academics or athletics. They offer many opportunities for students to meet new people or get involved in school life. As for athletics, the coaches not only coach the sport, but they also teach you lifelong experiences. Like the perseverance it takes to do something that is hard. As for the academic side, Roosevelt encourages students to use "Rider time," which is a way to get one-on-one learning with our teachers. Especially when we are struggling or when we just need an area to study in. Overall, I love this school because the teachers there try not to overly stress you out and let you enjoy your high school life.
Overall, Roosevelt High School is a good school. The facility is quite nice, in fact it is one of the fee high schools on Oahu with indoor classrooms, and our field is something we take pride in. Also majority of the teachers there are really nice and have good teaching methods. On the other hand, there are some criticisms. For instance, involving a few teachers and administrators. When I was there we had some issues with one particular very rude and bad teacher. This issue was so big that there was even a petition made to fire them, but the school did nothing about it and kept that teacher on board. Also the administrators lack some involvement. Other than that, there wasn’t many other issues that were a fairly big deal.
Most people at the school have a good vibe, its easy to be comfortable being yourself, and no one really causes any problems. There will always be a teacher that you can get close to, and who will support you through your high school career ad beyond. Overall, a safe and heartwarming place to be.
