Huron High School is an amazing place, Thankfully I've had a good experience I find It amazing that Huron has all these academic opportunities like their IB diploma programs I am currently a part of the Career Program at Huron and it has been one of the best decisions in my life to take and I would recommend it to freshman and sophomore to take when they become juniors. The career program gives you all these unique experiences and helps you build your professional skills, the program requires you to take DP courses to complete service hours, and even make a website to include all your personal and professional skills. Thanks to this program at Huron it will open so many opportunities for me in the future!
My time at Huron High School was somewhat good, difficult and challenging. It has been over 7 years since I walked through those hallways as a student but I can say the best parts of my experience there had to do with sports and choir as both of those were very friendly and outgoing when it came to fostering and giving students the best support.
The challenging parts I had at Huron might've had to do with college prepareness as most of the staff and faculty didn't put much time or effort into getting the students ready for post high school life with the exception of those who were taking accelarated or AP courses.
I think what I would like to see change is providing more resources for students who have disabilities as I think they could've done better for those who struggle with learning problems like math. I know this because I almost failed algebra 2 and there was no one who could help me with this.
Overall, Huron is a great high school but I do think things could be done better.

As a student who runs a club, the administration has been largely unresponsive when I have tried to reach out to get approval for events. I sent multiple emails from November 2023 through April 2024, and I still have no received a definitive response. However, other than this, I have had a mostly positive experience at Huron.
