The 2024 Met Gala just got a dose of fairy-tale fun. Ariana Grande arrived at this year's event wearing a structured white Loewe corset gown with a pleated, lampshade-style skirt that had a nod to her Wicked character, Glinda. Grande, who's no stranger to the Met Gala and going all out on its annual themes (who can forget her Sistine Chapel-inspired Vera Wang gown for the "Heavenly Bodies" exhibit in 2018?), lifted up her airy white skirt to reveal a rainbow of pastel underpinnings.

Grande's bodice featured an allover, iridescent mother-of-pearl panel and a draped swoop at her waist before the dress spilled out into its dramatic skirt. She finished the ensemble with diamond rings and statement-making makeup that included 3-D appliqué. During her time on the red carpet, she told Vogue that it the colors were a nod to Glinda's bubble in Wicked.

"I wish I could say more than I can," she told La La Anthony of what fans can expect from the highly anticipated film, winking at a possible trailer dropping any minute now. "You'll see a little something very soon."

"It was transformative and beautiful and happy," she said about working with her co-star, Cynthia Erivo.

The two arrived together on the red carpet and even did a little dance with Anthony as they swapped mics and spoke to the host. Erivo coordinated with Grande in a Thom Browne suit that was covered in butterflies and flower petals. Wicked, which is set to be split into two parts, will premiere in theaters on Nov. 27.

"She's spectacular, this cast is spectacular," Erivo said of the project. "I feel really lucky to be included in a project like this. You won't be left wanting."

“Ariana is attending The Met Gala with Loewe this year and is wearing an incredible look made of mother of pearl,” Mimi Cuttrell, Grande's stylist, shared with Teen Vogue. “I immediately drew inspiration from 'The Birth of Venus' and 'Primavera’s Three Graces' by Botticelli. I love the whimsical beauty and ethereal femininity of both paintings. The idea that a pearl has evolved over time and is, at its essence, a Sleeping Beauty really resonated with the theme of this year's Met Gala.”

“A pearl is also Ariana’s birthstone, which makes the look extra special,” she added. "I used Pinterest to source most reference images and develop my thoughts from there. We worked closely with Lorraine Schwartz to create custom earrings that complement her look, with 14,000 pear-shaped diamonds and 8,000 white opals."
