After easily qualifying for the FIFA World Cup 2022, Denmark are now playing in their sixth football World Cup.
Kasper Hjulmand's men had to settle for a goalless draw against Tunisia in their first Group D game on Tuesday (November 22) before losing 2-1 to defending champions France.
Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen scored Denmark's first goal of the tournament in that defeat, but last year's Euro 2020 semi-finalists now need to win their last group game against Australia to stay in the competition.
The Danes have failed to reach the knockout stages just once in their five previous World Cup Finals appearances. They made it a second time on Wednesday (30 November) with a 1-0 defeat to Australia in their final Group D clash.
