Deborah Ross The Mail on Sunday (UK) Just when you are feeling seduced and immersed it does something so absurdly stilted and artificial it snaps you right out of it. Rated: 3/5 Jun 4, 2019 Full Review Carol Midgley Times (UK) Summer of Rockets had a sumptuous cast, looked gorgeous and had some cracking dialogue, but at times, quite a few in fact, my mind wandered. Rated: 3/5 May 23, 2019 Full Review Lucy Pavia London Evening Standard At times the drama and script feel a little hammy and there's some clunky exposition, but with typical skill Poliakoff also lays down some promisingly mysterious threads you'll want to pull on. May 23, 2019 Full Review Nigel Watson Starburst It's a thoughtful series that brings to life the summer of rockets, mixing a wide variety of characters who eventually come to terms with their place in the world and what the future offers, for good or bad. Rated: 9/10 Jun 5, 2019 Full Review Euan Ferguson Observer (UK) SoR is, so far, a genuine triumph. May 28, 2019 Full Review Adam Sweeting The Arts Desk Hallelujah! At last the BBC have commissioned a Stephen Poliakoff series that makes you want to come back for episode two (and hopefully all six), thanks to a powerful cast making the most of some perceptively-written roles.
