The Intruder VS The Smiling Snatcher (Mandela Catalogue VS Dreams of an Insomniac) [CONNECTIONS IN THE COMMENTS]

Core Theme

Two infamous small town child kidnappers with supernatural abilities from Analog horror series about demonic beings who have a unique ability to manipulate technology.

Connections (CONTAINS SPOILERS AND MENTIONS OF SUICIDE) Both are hooded and mostly smiling infamous kidnappers from analog horror series on YouTube about demonic creatures (Alternates and Veldiguns) who terrorize people in small towns in America. Both can mimic voices of other people to lure unsuspecting victims in.

They both have demonic relations (Intruder having supernatural abilities and an inhuman appearance and Snatcher is referred to as “The Eastridge Demon”).

Both tore apart a family several families but I will focus on 1 for this example (When Intruder kidnapped Adam from his family his mother committed S**cide and Snatcher picked off a family one by one until only the father was left and he took him away but where he went isn’t known).

Both are commented on constantly on news and PSAs in the town they reside in. Both are master manipulators (Intruder managed to get a young Adam to create an Alternate in his house that killed everyone in his family and Snatcher convinced the previously mentioned father to come with him after taking away his family).

Both of them seem to have a feud with a specific person/group (Intruder comments on not following the false Shepard and The Lankmann foundation directly working against the snatcher)

And we have an interesting contrast where Intruder takes children and actually cares about them while Snatcher does this just to kill them.

Both of them are linked to a member of their local police force losing their careers (For Snatcher he drove Officer Krueger insane through his tireless search to track him down unfortunately leading to him taking his life and for intruder one of his doppelgängers attacked Thatcher Davis and caused him to go into hiding to not be discovered by any other creature)

At first we see them as a drawing on TV before there first real appearance where they break into a building and the camera detects them.

Also as a neat bonus Pastra (Creator of Dreams of an Insomniac) said that Mandela Catalogue is his favourite analog horror series.

ANIMATION POTENTIAL Before I say anything I want to give this match this situation so it can actually work as a fight: This will not be a straight up battle but more of a hunt. What I mean by this is that Intruder will reside in a location in a town and Snatcher will be somewhere else in this town. Snatcher will go look through the town to try and find intruder and now we move on to the actual fight:

It would start with Snatcher in a house at night about to kill a child but then all the lights turn off and the child disappears… only leaving a glowing light emitting from a nearby TV with Intruder’s face on it.

He states that he has taken the child and resides somewhere in the town but he will not reveal his location and then the TV turns off leaving Snatcher in a blind rage tearing through the house and onto the road.

He could march through houses killing everyone he sees hoping it is intruder but every time intruder pops up on the TV taunting Snatcher.

Eventually intruder becomes aware of the danger that Snatcher holds to him and pops up on TVs that children are watching in their houses as Stanley.

He tells he children to think of a “friend” and it summons alternates that wait in the houses.

Snatcher enters these houses and is attacked by alternates trying to kill him.

Snatcher takes quite a lot of damage from these alternates and you could have cool horror stuff happen during these encounters with different kinds of alternates.

Eventually Snatcher stands outside the house the intruder resides in and then the screen goes black…

Then we cut to an analog recording of the intruder at his computer before he looks to his side and sees a smashed open window… the snatcher has found him and his somewhere in the house.

The intruder gets up and tries going out of the exit but when he grabs the handle the door disappears as a result of the snatcher’s illusions and then he turns around and sees the Snatcher in his Ghost costume and he manipulates a nearby TV to play cherry old music before taking off his ghost to reveal his horrific real appearance before dashing at him and eroding his body with his abilities before finishing it by splitting his head open or roping it off (pick your poison) Also this scene would be a reference to the ending of the Mysterious House.

After this another POV camera shot plays showing the child from the beginning in a dark room before the snatcher opens the door staring down at the child and his screams are cut as the animation ends…

WHO WINS? As you saw from the ending of that I firmly believe Snatcher takes this but not without a challenge considering the circumstances I added to make this fight fair. You see if this was a straight 1 vs 1 up close and personal Snatcher would easily kill the intruder. But given these circumstances it makes it a lot closer but Snatcher would pull through. The doppelgängers are strong yes but compared to the abilities and expertise of Snatcher they would be overwhelmed especially with his illusions even if they were stronger than him he could easily escape by throwing them off with the illusions. And for his strength the haunted house PSA states that side effects of physical contact with him is: “Discoloration of the skin, severe weight loss, the merging of bone and flesh and bleeding from every orafice. He is also stated as being “Extremely intelligent and aware that it is being hunted” and it will use tricks to make his targets vulnerable. And intruder barely gets into physical confrontations and would be torn to shreds by the snatcher.
