What is the net worth of each of the 5 besties?

And for fun lets throw their arch-enemy in, Scott Galloway. How much do we think each is worth?

Chamath: Seems like the 'Richie Bestie' . He seems to have topped $1.2 billion (SPAC boom, baby !!!). But he was dropped off Forbes Billionaire List after 2021.

David Friedberg: No concrete evidence on this. Certain websites estimate his net worth to be at $1 billion (I think it's a circular reference). Difficult to estimate since he maintains a low profile of his investments and start-ups he's working with.

Brad Gerstner: This website estimates the net-worth to be around $560 millions. Gives a detailed break-up of his investments and portfolio holdings. Can't comment on the accuracy.

David Sacks: Feels like a *highly guarded secret*. Various websites have differing estimates from $250 millions to $1.5 billion. (No links, you can just Google) Considering that he is a PayPal Mafia member, thus getting opportunity to invest in top start-ups, I'm thinking it could be on the higher end.

Jason Calacanis: I remember an episode (out of past 20 episodes) where he sarcastically told Friedberg "He's okay with 70% tax as long as it's on Billionaires and not on centi-millionaires." If someone could remember and point out the episode it'd be great (thank you in advance !!) Might be the least rich guy of the Besties, but still worth north of $100 millions.

Funny I was just looking this up last night.

"He's okay with 70% tax as long as it's on Billionaires and not on centi-millionaires."

Lool

This must be one of the richest podcast groups out there. Are there any richer?

As direct hosts, perhaps, but many other companies (i.e. Sequoia Capital) have podcasts with quite wealthy hosts & guests.

Collectively? More than 3 Trumps, less than 0.1 Xi Jinping, but 100% up Musk’s Uranus.

Jcal about 3 fiddy

Amazing. Jcal has what 99.99% of the world could only dream of, yet his feelings of inadequacy among the group are almost palpable.

that's what happens bro. he sees his friends all have the Gulfstream 650er And he has a sh*tty citation or Honda jet.

yet he cal literally live at a 5 star hotel the rest of his life and never open a excel spreadsheet again if he wanted to

I think i saw something on Jcal recent on his Uber holding around 200M

Freeberg seems like the only one who might not be lying if he said something in this regard.

What is poe. It’s wrong as chamath said he was the wealthiest once

Edited

Might have been before the CryptoKitties implosion. I'm finding the Chamath data/claims all over the place. 300M to what I can only assume is his ghost account listing him as $4B. As much as I dislike the guy and feel he's unethical he's darn clever been on the right side of about 4 macroprediction cycles durring the podcast. If he puts his resting money where his mouth is even sometimes, even the higher number is possible. I'm dartboarding Chamalth as $1.75B

Friedberg is a billionaire? I assumed his net worth was probably like $40-80M.

He's a early Google employee and sold a startup to Monsanto and was a board member for a while.

Hard to say about worth, especially in tech. What is my startup stock worth? well according to the company a 75k. According to me? 0 until they have an exit.

MINIMUM cash I am assuming Sacks, Chamath, and Friedberg are all near or at 1b$. JCal way less.

None of them have that in cash.

Chamath is probably the only one with around 1B in networth, but in EQUITY.

I consider public company stock more liquid, he probably has a huge chunk of that.

But yeah

He was an early Google employee

Not that early (like Marissa Mayer for example), he joined 6 years after Google was founded.

u/Fit_Opinion2465 avatar

Most of his wealth was from selling his company to Monsanto.

u/Triptycho avatar

Oh true yeah, forgot about The Climate Corporation

  • Sacks - $100m ish

  • Chamath - $1.5bn. 1 from being lucky at Facebook. Other 1 from scamming retail. Everything else he’s touched has turned to shit so minus 0.5 there.

  • JCal - $25mm is my guess

  • Friedberg - no idea what he’s done / don’t care but I like him so I’ll go with $50mm

Sacks is worth way more

Friedberg also way more

Even jcal is worth more than that

Yeah OP, the expression 3 billionaires and JCal stand.

We got some "mids" on this subreddit that don't even do the slightest of research lmao

Chamath has mentioned he’s the richest of the All In pod members. As others pointed out, he’s in the $1-2B range.

Scott Galloway mentioned on a recent podcast that his net worth is between $100-200M (I can’t remember exactly, but I think it was on the higher end of that).

Sacks might be worth more than chamath
