If you enjoy old fashioned soda or candy, this is the place to go. We carry the largest selection of glass bottled sodas in the South Bay and our old-timey candy selection is really fun. We bake our pastries fresh every morning and serve them with the best coffee in town. We proudly pour Batdorf & Bronson coffees and Espressos. Our menu is served in-house or to-go. Grab a Ciabatta Cheeseburger and a soda and walk a block to the bluffs for a nice picnic. We serve light breakfast items such as: Breakfast Bagel Sandwich, Steel Cut Oatmeal, Granola and Yogurt with Fresh Fruit. Try a hand-scooped Malt or Milkshake in a variety of flavors. Browse in our gift shop and check out the paintings by local artists on sale. Kids love this store because of the candy selection and the toys to play with while mom enjoys her lunch. You will always find the neighborhood dogs out front drinking water and munching on doggie treats. It is a wonderful place for an old fashioned good time.

Cute local store and the staff is always friendly. I love including this in my walks for a good coffee and the kids love looking at the toys and candy.

Literally, this must be one of the coolest lil corner stores and it's just sitting in a residential neighborhood... Feels like walking through a portal into an episode of Leave it to Beaver hahaa
We stopped in after a long day to grab some drinks before the drive back and was surprised to find that they had many more options than expected! We had to go but seems like it's a great place to kick back. The atmosphere is def more lazy summer afternoon than crowded coffee shop w ppl working everywhere.
I went for the iced blueberry green tea which was crisp and refreshing but there was a multitude of other options, including an unwieldy selection of soda which was really fun to look at, selections of wines, coffees, snacks and sandwiches as well as some pretty entertaining signs throughout the store: "unattended children will be given an espresso and a free kitten" LMFAO - Joseph L.Carson, CA11226/15/2020
What I like the most about the corner store is that you can find all the old candy root beer and soda that you can't find anywhere else the service is great and the food is excellent it's a must go to if you're visiting San Pedro or if you live there

Haven't been recently, but several months ago I got the vegan Slim Sailor sandwich, which is veggies and tofu, and it was pretty good! They have a large selection of soda and drinks, and some pastries. They could definitely expand their vegan options, but the menu is limited because the "kitchen" is tiny. They have a whole shop with some local goods and classic (Melissa & Doug) toys, which I feel are overpriced, but it feels good to support a local business. Every time I walk or drive by this store I see neighbors chatting, walking dogs, walking in, it makes me smile that a place like this exists.

I couldn't resist taking a picture of this cut off VW van in front of the corner store. Classic!

Love love love this place! It's a hidden gem with so much history in the city of San Pedro! Whenever I'm in the area I always drop by. There's so much I could say about this place. But to be honest, it's best if you visit it yourself and experience all it's charm!

This gem is like going back in time. The Corner Store is a block from the ocean in a residential neighborhood with plenty of parking. They have dozens of varieties of sodas, specialty candies, unique gifts and vintage toys.
At the counter you can order sandwiches, burgers, quiches and salads. They also have coffee, tea, ice cream and baked goods. There is indoor and outdoor seating, a community library, bike parking and water for dogs out front. The staff are sweet and there is live music some days. - Ámbar R.Long Beach, CA41147399/4/2018
I thought this place was near the beach but it's not! It's in the neighborhood, FYI !
They have candy, all kinds of soda pop, ice cream and food!! Definitely a place a stop by and load up on snacks!
The sandwiches were good but it doesn't come with fries :( - Justin D.San Bernardino, CA58106/27/2019
The place is really cute and people inside were nice, BUT I was sitting at the tables outside enjoy my beverage from the store in the shade of the umbrellas on this hot day, and a girl come out and starts closing the embrellas. When I say her start, I figure she wouldn't close the one that I was sitting or the one the other man at the next table, but she went ahead and did it regardless of the fact that we were all enjoy the shade and relaxing. I ask if they were closing, she said the manager is picky and wanted them closed because of the wind (Hardly a breeze at that time) It made me feel like they just wanted us to leave. I will not go back to this establishment, one bad customer service move and forever I am not your customer!
