Chapter 3: The Man Who Knew Too Much

After that tense situation, we're all friends again, sort of. Dumped back on the street, Kiryu's next destination is back to Akame's. I will note that the Daidoji hideout has a SEGA Master System in it for some reason. Four games are available by default and a bunch more can be found in other locations, detailed at that section.

Head back to Akame's and you'll get freshened up. After which, Akame will challenge you to reach Gold Rank in the Coliseum, if you haven't done this already. Reminder that you need to get the Network to at least Level 10 and you'll have to win at least three Silver Rank matches in the Coliseum to get this.

Once you complete that, go to Akame and the two of you will go have drinks. You can choose whatever response you like to her prompts, no fear about messing it up. You can unlock three more of these by getting the Akame Network rank up. Also you've unlocked more Coliseum fights, more stuff at the Boutique, a new lounge to hang out in, and more Requests. Lastly, Tsuruno will give you a call, asking you to come to the pool near the Coliseum, which is in the new VIP Lounge you've just unlocked access to. As you enter the room, Tsuruno will ask if you want to hear the story about Homare Nishitani III. The game helpfully prompts you that you'll not be able to move around for a while, so you have the option of refusing if you want to do more side stuff. I will say that starting this prompt will finish the chapter.

After agreeing to hear Tsuruno out, you'll go through a long story, then fight a bunch of Kijin Clan dudes. Technically this is another long battle, so let's go by the numbers:

  1. Before doing downstairs, check the balcony on the left to get a Nutriment of the Conquering Emperor.
  2. Head down to the lower level to fight another group of six dudes, including a miniboss and a gunman. Can't leave by the main gate, so head around towards the Fighter's Lounge. In the south area is Bronze Plate that you'll have to Wire.
  3. Defeat the two gunmen. You'll then automatically move to the lower area, Peter Parker style.
  4. First, face the two guys and the miniboss. One has a gun.
  5. Continue through the tunnels. In a briefcase on the way is a Refreshment of the Sky King. Leave via the southwest door.
  6. Continue in this area along the wall. Once you're at the other side, look back and Wire the Iron Plate.
  7. At the end are two unarmed minibosses. Once they're beat, head down the ladder. Edge along the planks here and be sure to grab the Military Bulletproof Vest in the corner. Climb out via the other ladder, then head west through the door.
  8. North up this hallway. You can't get the briefcase behind the chainlink fence just yet, but you can Wire the Silver Plate to its left around the edge. Go through the east door into the large room and walk southeast. A Bronze Plate is to the east high up to Wire. Now, drop down to the lower level via the gap in the railing, then grab the Nutriment of the Conquering Emperor in the northeast corner. Climb down the ladder.
  9. At the bottom, a large mob will be scared up, a full nineteen men strong, including a miniboss. Watch out for the ones with weapons and don't be afraid to use your Heat here. Once they're all cleaned up, you'll see a marked circle on the floor. Don't head there just yet; we've got some items to collect. In the cells on this level you can Wire some Pocket Tissues, Ichiban Senbei (Salt), and Ichiban Senbei (Shoyu). Head up the staircase to the south and you'll find two Briefcases for a total of Gold Plate x2. Go up the northern staircase to find a Refreshment of the Sky King at the very top of the stairs, and then going west along the balcony you can reach that Briefcase you saw earlier in the hallway that has a Platinum Plate in it.
  10. You may now step into the white circle and Wire yourself up to the next level. Before going through the door, look up to the north and south to find item that you can Wire: an Iron Plate and a Bronze Plate. Go through the east door, then out of the control room and follow the hallway down. Where there's a hostess lady taking a oddly-timed smoke break, you can see a briefcase nearby with a Gold Plate inside. In the next room with three more ladies, there's a briefcase with Ichiban Fried Senbei in the corner. Leave by the east elevator
  11. Ah, hey we're in the Boutique! Grab the Nourishment of the Sky King on the bar and leave by the north door.
  12. Now we're in the Gambling Hall and finally some more bad guys. Beat up these six guys, and then you can leave back to Central Street (nothing else in this room).
  13. Outside on Central Street, you'll face nine guys and a nearly-naked miniboss with a hammer. Also the other guys mostly have weapons, too, so be alert.
  14. At the end you will face HOMARE NISHITANI III, and he's armed with a dagger. If you've faced other wily dagger enemies in the past (who shall remain nameless for the moment), then you should know what to expect: quick dodges, quick lunges, quick everything pretty much. If you have the healing, it may be best to try to just overpower him rather than fight fair. Like all bosses, he'll use an Ultimate at the halfway mark, so be ready. Defeat him to end the chapter.
  1. CyricZ started writing to get all the thoughts in his head about video games onto paper and it got out of hand.
