Valentine's Day: Yay,so many couples think, time to celebrate our love, complete with romance and flowers. Urgh, where's the blanket I can crawl under? everyone else groans. Whichever camp you're in, there's a new romantic comedy from Netflix with fun for everyone: The Heartbreak Agency  is here to brighten your Valentine's Day, whether you're a hardened single or blissfully in love.

Rosalie Thomass shines in the lead as single mother and agency boss Maria, who seems to have an answer to every heartbreak dilemma, alongside Laurence Rupp as Karl, the skeptical journalist with a bad case of Peter Pan syndrome.

The Heartbreak Agency is loosely based on the successful self-help book “Goodbye Herzschmerz” (Goodbye Heartache) by Elena-Katharina Sohn, and her eponymous Heartbreak Agency (Die Liebeskümmerer). In 2011, after splitting with her former life partner, Sohn founded the agency in Berlin, where she helps those suffering from heartache or break to move on from the pain. She collected her experiences from working with her clients and wrote the German bestseller “Anleitung zum Wieder-Glücklichsein” (How to Be Happy Again).

Coming February 14, 2024 – exclusively on Netflix.

About The Heartbreak Agency

Who's lovesick these days? When a cynical young journalist sets out to expose the charming founder of a heartbreak agency as a fake, he grapples with his own lost capacity for love. The Romcom The Heartbreak Agency  is loosely based on the eponymous agency run by Elena-Katharina Sohn “Die Liebeskümmerer” and her bestselling self-help book “Goodbye Heartache”.
