Jessica Henwick deserves more love, she's great.
she carried iron fist and the latest matrix
She was cool as shit in that. The movie isn't great but every time she was on screen I thought "damn, she's cool as shit"
She's coming back as THE Iron Fist in the next Shang-Chi film.
She seems to get a lot of high-profile projects, but usually as a supporting character. Hopefully she gets to star in them soon.
So. This made me cry. I wasn’t expecting that.
Not only is she acting in this, but its also her first time writing and directing. Fantastic work. Looking forward to her directing career.
POD!
She was underrated in Glass Onion too
It's maybe not important, and is noted at the end, in the credits, but this was shot entirely on the Xiaomi 11 series (although in my memory it was the 11T) and used as part of their promotional campaigns.
I'm aware there have been more than a few features that made use of iPhone footage, so it sort of makes sense that competitors would take a stab at similar marketing.
I like Jessica Henwick and this was good, but it seems to really steal the essence or plot of The Bear, specifically Sydney's character
Technically Bus Girl was filmed before The Bear. Bus Girl filmed in 2021 during the filming of Glass Onion, The Bear season 1 filmed in 2022. Either it is a coincidence or The Bear copped the Bus Girl plot line.
