My best experience was the opportunities this school offered, I enjoyed being a Peer Health Advocate. My least favorite experience was my language teacher, she was very unprofessional.
Ive been there for my full 3 years now and ive never really had a problem but the teachers pick and choose who they give special treatment to. The school food also tastes so bad
This school is a very unsafe, police are there every week breaking up fights. However, some teachers are very nice and will do the most for a student and some will not do anything to help. I believe the staff is really nice but the students are very disrespectful. I would like students to be more nice and less bullying.
The best parts about my experience in this school are the sports and the friends that come along. The worst part about my experience is that there´s a lot of construction going on and it sucks because it takes longer to get to class. I would like to see a change in school food, it is not the best.
Definitely could be better. The area does have a high crime rate so it’s a bit unsafe. Police have been called multiple times to come to the school.
Reseda’s magnet programs are amazing and offer students hands-on experience in their chosen stream (i.e. engineering, computer science, media production, etc). This is very helpful, especially when trying to decide if a career path is the right fit for a student. In addition, the teachers and staff at Reseda High School are very supportive and try their best to provide opportunities and help whenever they can. I also appreciate the fact that Reseda High School allows students to take the PSAT and SAT for free!
Reseda has so many great opportunities through its Biomedical Pathway. I participated in so many extracurricular activities related to the biomedical sciences, and my interest in becoming a family practice physician has increased as a result. I am able to take good AP classes and do well in them, but because of how the scheduling works, I'm not always able to take as much as I want to.
My experience with Reseda Senior High School has been a rollercoaster. The most notable thing that I have realized would be the impact that the faculty and staff had on me. I have had some of the most amazing teachers who I believe will leave a lasting impact on my life. Sports coaches have taught me not only to fall in love with a sport but to learn to be a productive member of society. Some of the lesser experiences I have had with school would have to be a bit of the culture. For some reason, a prominent amount of the students here either simply do not care about doing well or school or even participate in the use of narcotics which was proliferated around campus. The biggest change I would like to see would be to have greater security to prevent this culture from enhancing itself.
Pretty good school, I like the electives and the teachers are nice. The only bad thing is since my school is under construction currently there’s some places we can’t go to sometimes.
I would say that Reseda High School overall is great school, especially in terms of academics. I find it that you’ll find great opportunities in the science magnet. The many field trips that you get as part of the biomedical pathway. With regard to the engineering and CS pathway I wish that we’ll get more of those opportunities given to biomedical pathway. Overall I think that to improve these pathways, there should be more funding in diversification of CS and engineering because they are broad and I feel like giving more options would get more people into those field like maybe someone doesn’t like mechanical engineering but they really enjoy electrical engineering. Overall just given more options with great funding I think would work as a start. The bad of Reseda I would say would be the bathrooms. They’re kinda just bad.
I was at Reseda High School for my senior year, overall I wouldn’t say it was the best nor the worst. I was in a club and honestly they need to improve with their schedules and responsibilities. There were some counselors that helped me get to college but there was one who didn’t help me. The staff are cool but a few were rude. Many programs to join. But it isn’t a school I recommend!
Many teachers at my school are nice and helpful. They teach very well and are kind and respectful towards their students.
Good school, boasting several magnets, high-level courses, and a storied robotics team. In the process of remodeling to improve facilities.
I like that the leadership is invested in the development and growth of their students. I would like to see more support for the athletic teams and more opportunities for parent invovlement.
I wish yearbook and asb were together again. Ever since they separated there became tension between asb kids and yearbook kids along with the advisors
Throughout my time at Reseda Senior High School, it was average due to their way of funding. As a musician, they very much underfund their performance arts programs such as the music programs for putting it into the football team and the magnet programs. The culture is actually something that I take with pride. I was not in any magnets but due to my drive and intelligence, I was always selected to be in Honors or AP classes. I learned about so many different things from the different individuals I met from the Art (Graphic Design and Animation) Magnet and the Science Magnet. The different people I would work with and meet were great and taught me about the work space and how to be in it. Some of the teachers taught me some valuable lessons that I still think about but there were some teachers in the remedial classes that were not the greatest.
No matter what, whether my time was bad or good, I will always be prideful of being a Regent because my heart and soul lives in Reseda.

LAUSD is an overall pretty good school district but they often can be very forceful and demanding of staff and students going to the school that is in the district, they force limited time for communication between the students which is not mentally healthy for students at the age they are in school, they should have at least two-and-a-half hours with one another as "free-time."
Also, the staff at a lot of the schools do not communicate or really talk to any of the students around the school. I believe that staff doesn't need to have an active relationship with the students at the school but at least some sort of speech between one another to help keep a mental image of one another, so it won't be such a "first day," feeling.
One of the biggest things that bugs me is that they are highly restrictive with almost every single thing the students do, they monitor every 6th grader on campus to make sure they don't leave the Junior High area of the campus.
