Former New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison and his first wife, the former Liz Ziegler, were quietly remarried in a civil ceremony three weeks ago, The Times-Picayune has reported.
Although they were depicted as a loving, supportive couple by Kevin Costner and Sissy Spacek in director Oliver Stone's movie, "JFK," the couple actually had divorced and married other partners many years ago.Their marital breakup followed Garrison's controversial and unsuccesful 1960s prosecution of Clay Shaw as co-conspirator in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, a prosecution that formed the basis of Stone's movie.
