We shall never know the contributions that might have been made by those whose lives were cut short by State power. One of them was Black Panther Fred Hampton, another was Steven Biko. Biko had organized raising black consciousness in South Africa, during the Apartheid regime. Once in Police custody, he was murdered. The announcement of his death caused such an outrage that the authorities had to assemble an inquest. This film recreates same. This dramatic retelling includes such excellent performers as Albert Finney. Would make a good double bill with THE TRIAL OF THE CATONSVILLE NINE (1972). Add to your watchlist.
