Affair[edit]

It is well known that Dr. Seuss cheated on his first wife while she was dying of cancer with their family friend and his later wife. Her suicide can likely be attributed to this affair. This should not be omitted from his page. Talk Aug 29, 2021

Yes it should be omitted, unless you can cite a reliable source (WP:RS). Wikipedia doesn’t go by what is “well known” or “likely”, but by what can be documented in a reliable source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.255.97.2 (talk) 01:47, 24 April 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I've added it back it. Looks like it was mistakenly deleted in this edit. Brightgalrs (/braɪtˈɡæl.ərˌɛs/)[ᴛ] 09:48, 23 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

It well known and documented. Their are numerous articles he admitted it publicly. This article is extremely bias.

Biased. Even if it were true and well documented, this is not (or only sometimes) the National Enquirer or whatever. Seuss miss-pronounced (?): just heard on a podcast, his mom thought of Zeus.--Ralfdetlef (talk) 14:06, 14 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Add the son of Theodor Geisel, Theodore Robert Geisel, he also writes for children's books for Dr Seuss. Since the 1950s, nobody knew who he was, but I want to change that. Maybe it's somewhere on ancestery.com or the 1950s census. Change from no sons to 1 son.

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. M.Bitton (talk) 13:49, 1 April 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Never mind, he's another godson of Ted Geisel. I thought he was the son for decades, but turns out he's not. 2600:4041:5CD6:C600:6956:BEB4:C1FF:77FA (talk) 21:35, 4 April 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Lark Grey Dimond-Cates is the biological child of Theodore Seuss Geisel, since she was born in 1985, duirng Ted Geisel's lifetime. Look at her ancestry results. Listed in NY Times. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/12/22/obituaries/audrey-geisel-dead.html 2600:4041:5CD6:C600:6956:BEB4:C1FF:77FA (talk) 21:54, 4 April 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

First Cartoon in Judge[edit]

The article currently states "[his] first cartoon for Judge appeared on October 22, 1927 ..." I believe it was actually October 29. The archive.org scan of the Oct/29 issue is mislabeled as being Oct/22, as can be seen in the date shown on page 1 at archive.org/details/sim_judge_1927-10-22_93/page/1/mode/1up . A Seuss drawing appears at the bottom of page 3: archive.org/details/sim_judge_1927-10-22_93/page/3/mode/1up .

The Oct/22 issue is in the archive.org scan for Oct/15 -- this scan has both Oct/15 and Oct/22. I see no Seuss drawings there.

I appear to be unable to edit the main article, thus am unable to correct it. 2601:98A:4100:36A0:FD0A:497D:F8A4:5BD9 (talk) 14:15, 14 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
