She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph T. Petit and Aurora Petit (Lambert); her husband Roland A. Lambert; her son Robert; her brother Robert; her son-in-law F. Mike Carden; her cousins, Doris Curran (Quinter) and Arthur Quinter; and her friend Ruthie Linehan.

She is survived by : her children, Donna Lambert (Dan Schmiech), Janet (Richard Dumas), Carol Lambert of Epsom, NH, Peter (Lindalee Lambert), Linda Lambert of Montpelier, VT, David (Ivy Lambert) and Nancy Lambert (Martin Lee); her grandchildren, Zachary Dumas, Matthew Dumas, Benjamin Lambert, Sydney Lambert, Joseph Lambert and Jessica Boulanger; and her great grandchildren, Miriam, Avalyn and C. Felix Lambert.

Rita said that she would be grateful for donations to. Special Olympics or the Epsom Food Pantry in lieu of flowers.
