Pierpasolo(スペルが違っていたらごめんなさい)には感謝しています。レストランで夕飯と朝食を食べましたが、どちらも美味しかったです。スペイン広場も歩いて6分位なので買い物にも便利でした。ローマで歴史的なインテリアと素晴らしいサービスを期待するなら是非泊まる事を勧めます。
stayed this hotel and find that hotel is very good inside and room as well I booked this hotel through Dinners black card so morning for two peoples and 100usd voucher included . And very lucky to update for suite room!!. It has wide living room and bed room. Special thanks for Mr. Pierpasolo(if spelling is wrong I’m sorry) we enjoyed restaurant for dinner and morning. Both were very tasteful I recommend you to stay this very nice hotel if you want to go Spanish plaza for shopping

We chose this hotel because it was now under Marriott. We chose a large suite, together with the Marriott points, it was 1000 euros per night!
Believe me or not , at this price it was not possible to get a coffee machine in the room. Argument from the front desk ( with a rough answer from the guy!) was that room service was available 24/24. Which is obviously not true at 5 am. Result is that we had to buy a Nespresso machine on our own if we wanted to have coffee early morning.
People are nice when you arrive and when you leave, nothing in between...Nothing comparable with other 5 stars hotels we visited in Rome.
Rooms are old style but nice. Beds are great. Welcome Prosecco and free breakfast for Platinium ( otherwise price of 38 euros per breakfast is not worth for was we had).
In summary, OK but a lot of possible improvements for this hotel for high level rooms.

My wife and I have been to Rime a number of times and we have stayed at 4 diffrenet hotels. I am an experienced domestic traveler in the US.

Without a doubt this is our favorite hotel experience in Rome and it is the hotel we recommend to every friend going to the city. The hotel itself is lovely, we appointed, and cared for with attention. The rooms are well furnished and comfortable. We love the location just outside of the bustle of the City but with every destination easily reachable either on foot or a short cab ride.

The staff is extremely professional and attentive. I left my phone in a cab and the doorman spent 90 minutes tracking it down - just an example of going beyond expectations. I want to thank the housekeeping staff who kept our room looking sharp and feeling welcoming. The Westin Excelsior team is clearly well managed and well trained.

I lookforward to our next visit

G McCormick

We arrived at our room tired from an overnight flight to find our room in really poor shape. I asked the person who walked us up if all rooms looked like this and he just smiled. In fairness he may not have understood me but he should have recognized the filthy the carpets should never be accepted as a Marriott standard in addition to how worn the room was. There wasn’t any bottled water in the room which we usually get as an Elite member, so I opened the mini bar and it didn’t work and it was empty.

Since we were tired from the overnight flight we decided just to stay since the staff member didn’t give me the impression the other rooms were in better shape. The room never cooled overnight, and it got very hot. The next day I asked the front desk to have maintenance check the A/C and either they didn’t or just didn’t repair it. We spent the entire day around the city and came in late, to another night in a hot and dirty room. We checked out the next day. Having spent over $680 euro/$800 US on this is very disheartening and far below what I have come to expect from a Marriott property.

I contacted Marriott Customer service and they did discount the stay by one night and the hotel Manager sent a form apology. The pictures will show this isn't to Marriott standard. The hardest part to understand was the hotel had very few guests ... was this the best they could do? In fairness to the restaurant, the restaurant employees were really good.

Dear Texas Traveler Thank you for your review and for saying that the restaurant employees were really good. As we did have some email conversations I again want to apologize and regret we disappointed you. As soon as you informed me after your stay about the issues you had I contacted you personally as I totally agree that this room was not ready to be given. During this sanitary risk period we have indeed emptied the mini-bar ; items can be ordered on request. By mistake we forgot to place the complimentary water and I regret it. I indeed rebated 50% of the stay as realized and accept that we failed. I can assure you and any Tripadvisor that you can contact me when staying at the hotel so I can address any issue you may have Sincerely, Marc Lannoy General Manager

Few of us friends had the most exquisite time in Rome! Checking into the Westin Rome was seamless and Maria was such a delight at the front desk, super friendly and making great suggestions, and as our room wasn't ready yet so she allowed us to freshen up at the gym. Sutaya at the fitness desk provided us with robes, slippers and toiletries to shower and she too was so friendly and just the most pleasant person to talk to upon our arrival and every day we stopped by the gym, offering excellent customer service. After having seen some mixed reviews about the hotel being out dated, I have to disagree, the hotel's decor was stunning and what I would expect when visiting Italy! There are enough modern hotels out there and I loved seeing the marvelous wallpaper and Italian designed furniture. Was upgraded to a suite, and it was super spacious, had two luxurious bathrooms with great water pressure in the showers, a walk in closet, the crown molding detail was amazing, the chandeliers were gorgeous, and the bed was just heavenly. The hotel were gracious enough to leave us a bottle of champagne and some chocolates and really made our stay special. Also, thank you to all the housekeeping staff who did an outstanding job cleaning our suite every day and we loved the turn down service in the evenings.
Breakfast was incredible every morning.. so many options from an omelette station, to a juice bar, plenty of pastries, fresh honeycomb!, cold cuts, lox, fruit, etc. Every employee at the Westin Rome that we came across, from the concierge, to the front desk, the breakfast staff, housekeeping, etc were friendly, helpful, and just offered world class customer service! The hotel was also in a central location, in walking distance to the Spanish steps, Trevi fountain and very close to the metro. We loved our stay and highly recommend staying at this hotel l when visiting Rome!!!

The hotel is like an aged aristocratic lady but the staff and other details, make up for it.
The room we stayed in was large and luminous (426), the bedding was immaculately white and the towels always freshly laundered.
From the Gen. Mgr., Mr. Marc Lannoy, to the front office people, the Concierge (Mr. Andrea, special mention for his dedication and perseverance), the restaurant servers and the housekeeping personnel, all are exquisite professionals who greet you with a smile and make you feel welcome.

A tired old grande dame of a hotel. The Excelsior has all of the glamour that I recall from 20 years ago, but the entire place needs a refresh as everything is tired. This is very old world European glamour/luxury, but all of the Crystal chandeliers need a good cleaning and so do the very heavy drapes. On the positive, the beds are great, the water pressure is like nothing you will see in Rome and the location is superb. The breakfast room is far better than I recall (and appears recently renovated) and the staff is quite pleasant though incredibly rule bound. When we arrived at 11:00 with a confirmed early check in of 11:00 am on the Marriott app, they told us that the Marriott app was useless and we would have to wait until 3:00 pm as no rooms had been cleaned (seemed odd when all the transAtlantics leave in the early am at Fuminciono). When I called the Marriott number from the lobby, the desk staff were huffy, but immediately showed us to our room.

When you make a reservation, the app will give you the option to do mobile check in on day of arrival . You can indicate your arrival time , and any other preference but this is on request and not a confirmation I will make sure the Front Office associates give this information when asked and regret the inconveniences We look forward to welcome you again at our 117 years Grande Dame Sincerely Marc Lannoy General Manager

I stayed here for 61 nights from 13APR to 13JUN2021 and had an amazing experience. During COVID, many hotels take every opportunity to provide fewer services to guests. Not this hotel. I feel like the staff at the Westin took the opportunity to do more and be better and put other properties to shame. From breakfast to the gym, the staff worked hard to make things better than ever rather than make excuses and I will remember that forever.

First, I must recognize the staff: Matilde and Maria Rita at the front desk were a delight to see as I came in and out every day. Tiziana and Daniele memorized my breakfast order after one meal and work very hard. Adamo, Rafael, and Cristiano were so professional and kind bringing me to the gym every day. Last but not least, Sutthaya in the gym was such a delight to speak with every day and she is doing a fantastic job. Also, thank you to all the housekeeping staff who did an amazing job keeping everything perfectly clean.

The room was a bit dated and the TVs were old, small, and I couldn't plug my computer into them with an HDMI, but other than that, everything was perfect. There were plenty of electric plugs. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was luxurious. The WiFi was fast. Also, the hot water in the shower was the most consistent temperature I've ever experienced. The shower was almost instantly a perfect temperature every day and it did not fluctuate at all.

The breakfast was outstanding every day. Again, big thank you to the staff. The gym space was used very well. They fit in a lot of equipment, dumbbells, a Smith Machine, and a bench into a small space. I was able to get very good workouts in every day during my two-month stay. The housekeeping was world-class. My room was cleaned perfectly every day.

Thanks again to everyone and I will never stay at any other hotel in Rome because I know what an amazing job they did during the pandemic when most other hotels were making excuses!

This Hotel is a little older but it has enormous, well appointed rooms. it very well kept building that is very conveniently located in a safe area of Rome, near bus and transit stops, restaurants, and tourist destinations. A taxi stand is next door, so it is quick and convenient to grab a cab. Almost all of the taxi fares that I paid were less than €10.00
The staff in the front desk and the restaurant are exceptional and aim to make their guest’s happy.
This is in the Marriott chain so get points.
The Westin serves a King’s breakfast. There is something for everyone, and it is all delicious.
I would certainly return.

The Excelsior in Rome was the perfect place to start our many times postponed Italian holiday. After a 20+ hour “covid-tested” travel adventure from the US, our family of 5 finally arrived at this historic property in Rome. We were graciously welcomed to the hotel and were generously upgraded to a suite with a connecting room with 3 separate beds for our 3 teens. The hotel staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and special. Chilled proseco and a delicious cake were waiting for us in our room. Every employee was so warm and friendly. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and well air conditioned. The quiet tree lined street location of the hotel is the perfect break from busier parts of the city. We loved walking to the Villa Borghese and there is a taxi stand just outside the hotel where there were always taxis waiting to take us to more distant locations. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay and look forward to a return visit.
