Charming little town of Ain, in the Auvergne - Rhône-Alpes region, Chazey-sur-Ain takes place about fifty kilometers from Bourg-en-Bresse, on the road connecting Lyon to Geneva. It is located on the banks of the Ain, not far from Meximieux, Pérouges and Sainte-Julie.
Ancient, the city of Chazey-sur-Ain was once enclosed in an enclosure of which there are still some vestiges. Mentioned in the 12th century, it has experienced several tragedies over the centuries, such as its destruction by the Swedes in 1332, during the war against the Viennese dolphins.
Today stronger than ever, this town in south-eastern France has developed around its Parc du Cheval, a major European-level equestrian training center, as well as its tourist activity thanks to a rich architectural heritage.
