Pretty good place to work

If you work hard and stay out of drama, Amazon is a great place to work. There is so much to do and learn there. If you don’t like what you do, there’s so many options to choose from.

Easy job with management support.

Worked with lots of different types of people. Learned about how to interact with different education levels. Management was understanding and supportive.

Cons

Repetitive tasks.

Not great coffee

Job was okay- I liked the various looks of confusion/annoyance/surprise on people’s faces when the drone arrived to deliver their half price face cream but the only coffee they had in the office was Aldi own brand instant and when I brought my Aeropress in people laughed at me so the workplace culture isn’t amazing

Opportunity for growth.

Tons of cross training within different departments and opportunity to growth are tremendous. Leniency on schedules and great support from managers. Work life balance is amazing.

Good Job If You Are Willing

It's a great job if you are willing to work and have the appetite for supply chain. Lots of internal positions, just stick with it and use career choice to upskill.

Great people, great benefits, good work

Every day at work is a little different. While thus far I’ve stayed in the same department, I’ve learned several different roles: processing product into inventory, prepping pallets of product, and problem solve in my home department and on the inbound dock. I’ve learned a lot about work in general and about myself. I’ve learned I love to work, enjoy physical jobs that require movement, and enjoy work that requires critical thinking. Then add a generous dose of human interaction and I’m “happy as a clam”. Management has been great. Every manager I’ve had and have interacted with has treated me very well, and my current boss has worked hard to keep me on his team. The most challenging part of the job has been when the work is too heavy, too much, or didn’t require the amount of critical thinking I hoped. The most enjoyable part of the job has been the people, by far, and the work itself. The boxes may get heavy; the shifts may get long; but at the end of the day, it’s good, hard, honest work.

Pros

Management, learning opportunities, benefits

Cons

Short breaks, loud environment, concrete floor

E-commerce Supervisor at Whole Foods Market is a unique and rewarding experience.

The 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. shift, arriving at the store just as the day is dawning and knowing it will be busy right away, fits my working style perfectly. Managing a staff of over eighty and balancing work and life for employees while ensuring the schedule meets the company's needs is important. The Whole Foods Market where I worked had a very strong management team committed to fostering a positive workplace culture. Employees were encouraged to engage with management at all levels and feel supported. With e-commerce, every hour of the workday is different and brings its own challenges—from customer orders, delivery drivers, and order drops to scheduling, a successful outcome to these challenges is satisfying, a unique and rewarding experience.

Pros

Whole Foods Discount, Great team support, Updated Trainings, Benifits.

the lack of communication within management

once you get the hang of the routine. the hustle and bustle isn't so hard. you have to create your own pace so that you can keep up with your pace and keep it moving.

Pros

Work as Sortation Worker

It’s alright because the work is boring but long hours. They start you with training and then you can be moved into the mesh in the middle after that it’s fair game where u end up

options to try new skills

It very hard work and the job is very physical demanding on the body but the benefits was absolutely great. The people there were helpful and focused. I clock in at 7:25AM and I report to stand up to get my station, than I work for about two hours, than I have my first break for 15 minutes and after the break I work for another two hour before lunch at 12:15PM. And after lunch its back to work. From there I work until the next break, which is at 3:30PM. Than I work until its time to go home at 6:00PM.

Pros

love the voluntary time off, personal time off pay, vacation time pay and the benefits

Cons

Not enough breaks and needed a longer lunch.

Unprofessional and Inattentive Workplace

It was too difficult to find a manager to speak to about any needs. Employees and Managers never truly build a relationship or are even properly introduced. Just a big crowd of people who are unorganized.

Easy peasy

Easy work, boring. Standing in one location all day long. Robotic like work. Theres robots there too. Thats pretty cool. Pay sucked. Raises are a joke.

Playing favorites

Only plus about working here is you’re on your own which is nice. Other than that dispatch plays favorites with routes if you’re liked you’ll get easy close routes if not they’ll send you out to the middle of nowhere to deliver packages

Productive and a very fun place to work life is what you make it

I enjoyed the Twinsburg Warehouse very much I helped all of my co-workers no matter how I felt about them or they felt about me and got along with everyone all with a smile on my face I didn't have any real problems at all while working there but I cannot go back ever because I can't work with the same people and shift that I want I was working the wrap down shift from 10:30 pm to 2:30 am so I had to leave there unfortunately

Pros

Free food on Holidays

Cons

We could never go out to the bar after work for drinks

Poor leadership and inflexible management team

The work/life balance at Amazon sucks--it's absolutely non-existent and the leadership team is inflexible and not open to new ideas or outlooks. The focus is on how it was when they come up the ranks and they don't try to make it better for others. There is no teamwork or synergy between departments and it's an us versus them mentality between management and the associates. The hardest part of the job is the long hours and lack of acknowledgement for the contributions of the workforce and support departments. The Operations Team dictates everything and is not receptive towards anything that could effectively impact employee morale or performance. It's either get on board with the dictatorship or get forced out!

Pros

Diverse hourly workforce

Cons

Poor work/life balance

Its an easy job as long as you mind your own business.

Management sucks but work is easy. People you work with can make or break your day, but as long as you do your part of the job, it is an easy payday.

Pros

Paid breaks, compensation is good

Cons

management sucks, lunch is rushed

Depends on what area you work

Very psychical and hard work but overall company is great. Patterson warehouse was designated large items, like dog food, kitty litter, electronics, … etc, must be able to lift at least 50lbs . They should hire more men honestly.

Pros

Lots of PTO

Cons

Based heavy labor
