Ap Lei Chau is a small but densely populated island off Hong Kong. The waterfront promenade at its northern shore is a lively area during weekends. Off the beaten path, it is a nice place to enjoy some serenity while staying in the city.

This is a nearly 600 metre long promenade are that links up the Ap Lei Chau Park (east) and Ap Lei Chau Wind Tower Park (west) on the northern shores of Ap Lei Chau. The promenade provides nice walking grounds with views of the Aberdeen Typhoon Shelter and the loads of boats found within. It is a peaceful and relaxing place to spend time if visiting Ap Lei Chau.
Along the waterfront you will also see the historic Hung Shing Temple, nice landscaping, lighthouse, sampan boat structure, a couple of statues. There is a pet garden, plenty of park benches and public toilets.
The Ap Lei Chau Promenade is 3 minute walk from the Lei Tung Station (exit A2). You can also travel here by way of Kaito junk ferries from the Aberdeen promenade (HK$2.5 per person - 4 minute ride).
