Cruise back in time aboard the Steamboat NATCHEZ,the last authentic steamboat on the Mississippi River. Depart from the heart of the historic French Quarter on our daily Harbor Cruises and evening cruises. Board to the sounds of the Steam Calliope, followed by a self-guided visit to the museum quality steam engine room, live historic and port narration during your two-hour cruise. The boat was very nice with plenty of seating. Only downside was that the scenery consisted mainly of large factories and an oil refinery.

Really a nice little tour. Fascinating tidbits about the boat itself, as well as places along the shore. Lunch was very good.

Loved the history on the city tour, and relaxed so well on the riverboat! I recommend this for anyone! I didnt have the indoor luncheon on the riverboat, rather I ate roast beef sandwich from their snack bar--AWESOME! We will do this one again!

Overall was a nice experience, however the PA system didn't seem to work too well - we couldn't hear most of the narration...

If this is your first time, I would sit on the right near embarking & disembarking area. There is where most of the viewing of landmarks such as the Domino Sugar Factory and other points of interests that the narrator will highlight is situated. Upper tiers to the left especially near gift shop is an outdoors seating area to sit and soak up the sun or literally "chill out" if the weather really dips. If neither works for you, you can always hit the interior of the vessel and go on a self guided tour of the steam engine room or pick up a light snack at the bar. Overall, this simplistic getaway from the crowds offers a tranquil atmosphere to relax and gear up for your next agenda whether it's shopping at the French Market-a must for deals! Or head to the Cafe La Monde for the delectable beignets or fulfilling your reservations at your restaurant of choice. Enjoy!!!

Can’t decide whether to include lunch in the cruise. Is the jazz band on the deck or in the dining area? Are you able to enjoy the band if you don’t purchase lunch?

LIVE Music has returned! Steamboat Stompers play on day time cruises (11:30am or 2:30pm) and the Dukes of Dixieland play at 7:00pm cruise. (the Dukes play dockside also during boarding from 6:00-7:00pm) All bands are currently required to play outside so the will be on the top Texas Deck under the canopy but you will be able to hear them around the boat.

It's pretty standard buffet fare, nothing that screams authentic New Orleans. I would avoid, if you're a foodie, maybe get it if you're hungry and want something quick.

Wij hebben in de USA een dag van te voren geboekt per internet. Zie de site van Steamboat Natchez.. De andere dag (dag van vertrek) de kaartjes opgehaald bij de ticketoffice bij de boot.
Geen enkel probleem ondervonden.
