The Skinny
Julia Kent's sixth solo effort is a stunningly meditative and expertly controlled album, making for a unique sonic experience.

AllMusic

With Temporal, Julia Kent continues to craft cerebral yet accessible epics, encompassing a vast spectrum of emotions using a limited set of tools.

Uncut
Like much of Kent's work, the mood is melancholy and the focus is on her intricate production. There's plenty to admire in Kent's elegant phrasing, her cello longing and mournful.

Mojo
Less electronic in feel than its predecessor, this is music on a truly human scale in terms of its inspiration, delivery and undeniable emotional punch.

PopMatters

With an understanding of detail and texture, cellist Julia Kent's Temporal displays her intimate understanding of acoustic and electronic elements.

If you somehow missed this, please go check it out. This is a must listen for 2019. Fans of Nils Frahm will really enjoy this.

This thing is absolutely gorgeous and filled with emotion, I love it! A possible contender for the best Classical album of the year!

I think it is a very good mix of cello and ambient music. My favorite track is Imbalance.

"Temporal" is a gorgeous trip through a haunting realm of pure blackness. It's a wholly atmospheric listen that can be taken either as ethereal background music or as an intimate, dimly-lit bedroom experience. This is probably one of my favorite classical albums of the year.

Fav Tracks: Last Hour Story, Sheared, Imbalance, Conditional Features, Floating City

Least Fav Track: Through the Window
