I read the Diary of Anne Frank in the 1960s when I was a young girl. It was life-changing. Her story and the bravery of her Dutch helpers resonated with me and millions of others. I am grateful to have the experience of walking in her footsteps. You must make reservations far in advance to see the house.

Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to see where Anne Frank lived while she was in hiding with her family during an unimaginable time in history. I finally got the chance to walk through the Secret Annex where she shared her innermost feelings over two long years. It was a touching and emotional experience for me and my husband. The Anne Frank House pays tribute to Anne's courage, strength and inspiring words that will live on forever.

A must visit for anyone who believes that we must understand the past to create a better future. As a person whose family members were sent to their deaths simply for being Jewish, this is a one of a kind experience. The lessons to be learned, the human tragedy and the human triumph are both exemplified here. Extremely moving experience to enter attic that poor Anne Frank and 7 others lived in in fear trying to escape with their lives only to be caught and sent to death camps. Reading the hauntng words of a 14-16 year old girl and knowing that she lost her life just weeks before the Nazi's were defeated makes this such a tragedy. Her words live on and she is every victim's voice. This is a truly unique place to visit and image what their lives were like.

Go, go, go. This is perhaps the best excursion I have taken anywhere in the world, including swimming with sharks in Bora Bora. It exceeded my expectations ten fold and was wonderfully presented. I am not a religious person by any means, but this exhibition was so moving and I am sure that anyone who has an ounce of compassion will be touched by the information and story presented. Reservations are a must.

Very interesting to see and well displayed. Very hard to imagine what it must have been like for them. Tour was in varied languages and free cloak room for bags. Some areas were very steep narrow stairs which I found to quite claustrophobic. Would suggest if you have mobility difficulties.

Plan on this historical tour and get your tickets well ahead of time. There is virtually NO chance of you getting tickets only a few days before your trip. The museum releases tickets about 6 weeks before the day of the tour, on Tuesdays. Get the tickets online, from the official website, and have them ready to go. Totally worth it. If you can, read the book before you go. The book itself is stunning but then when you tour, you get a sense of what the people must have been living through. It's so sad, so terrible, and very insightful.

I have always been interested in the history of anne frank, i came to amsterdam for this experience, I found it very emotional and empowering, I think it’s important everybody sees this. A lot seems to have been built on with the building such as a cafe, apart from the annex itself which to me was abit disheartening. You could leave your bags at the front and free audio was given, highly suggest the audio for the experience

We booked our tickets 6 weeks in advance, which is essential. Entry was very well organised, as was moving through the house. Photography inside is NOT allowed, and it was disappointing to see a young British couple snapping away at everything and anything on their mobile phones! Please be respectful when you visit this wonderful place. The whole experience was very moving and I highly recommend it.

The tour gives a real sense of the story of Anne Frank, the struggles of living in hiding for 2 years and the tragedy of the end of a beautiful young woman and so many other due to Hitler’s hatred of the Jewish people. It is a moving, heartbreaking and inspiring visit to their hiding place. Be sure to reserve your tickets as soon as they become available. They sell out immediately.

This is such an important part of history. One needs to experience it for themselves. Anne and family were so brave. The tour was bone chilling and got under my skin. Heartbreaking yet, so inspiring. There's a clear message: end discrimination and love everyone.
