Reviews
- What makes me angry about this release is: All tracks are from 1986-1994, so they have good dynamics on the original CDs as I got and checked all the tracks on their original releases. But here - only because the compilation was issued in 1998 and the loudness war was on - they brickwalled all of the tracks... tracks that had dynamic range 12 or 13 have 5 or 6 here. Why? This absolutely wasn't necessary because all source tracks on here had good dynamics so there was no need to adjust older tracks to newer, louder recordings. And this is a collectors release all the way, so why participate in the loudness war if nothing from it will ever be played on the radio because of this release nor was there any hope for it to chart?
- Tracks 10 and 11 were recorded at Cincinnati Gardens, Cincinnati, OH as stated above but actually on 6th March 1987 during the "The Nightmare Returns"-tour. You can easily hear, that Kane Roberts is on lead guitar.
- This is probably the worst "Greatest hits" record I have looked at from Mr. Cooper. Definitely a fanmade type-o record because it's very false. None of these tracks were released in 84 or 85. He even has a track from The Last Temptation here which is from 94. So it should have been hits from 86 - 94. Still a poorly made hits record. Listen to Prince Of Darkness, that record is a solid hit album from Constrictor and Raise Your Fist with a great live version of Billon Dollar Babies!
