Conan Atlantean Sword

Always been a big fan of the original Conan since I was but a pup and this is a nice addition to my collection and way better than the cheap knock offs I've seen.

I put mine up on a display plaque in my living room and I look at it every day.

Excellent quality.  It arrived in flawless condition.

It's very sharp and a BIG OL' HURKIN CLEAVER of a blade:  As a functional sword it's frightening what it's capable of chopping through!

If you purchase Conan's sword or his fathers sword take the time and build shadow boxes for them, that's the only way to display them.

Received my Atlantean sword yesterday.  I received it in a little over a week which is much faster than I expected.  I absolutely love it!! It is of very great quality and the blade is razor sharp.  It has excellent balance and is quite heavy.  It honestly looks and feels like it should have cost a lot more than it did. I couldn't be happier.

Absolutely impressed. I now own all three swords, the fathers and valerias! They compliment each other so well but honestly I couldn't pick a favorite because each one is a work of art.  Beautiful beautiful absolutely beautiful!

This is a great value for the money.  Nice representation of Conan's Atlantean Sword from the 1980's movie "Conan the Barbarian". Blade is awsome and holds a super sharp edge. Fittings are nice and tight and cord wrapping is well done.  I have not tried cutting tests, but otherwise 5 stars.  
Wish you'd offer the "Conan the Destroyer" version from the sequel.

A must own for serious CONAN fans.

This is a phenomenal product. I couldn’t be any happier. I have wanted it since I was a child in the mid-1980s and I’m glad that I was finally able to make it my own. Know that I have it at home there are a few things that I can share with others that might improve their experience.

1) Having it sharpened isn’t the best idea in the world. Once sharp and you basically have a 3 foot long 8 pound unwieldy razor blade. In theory having it sharpened is amazing because you know that museum replicas is going to do a better job than you ever could. However you are never going to use this to cut anything, so you should probably skip it.

2. While the sword is battle ready. It was also conceptualized to be used by somebody who can benchpress 600 pounds. A wieldable  sword at this size should be 4 pounds. It is 8 pounds. That being said if you are going to play with it I refer to my statement above in that you should not have it sharpened because you will hurt yourself or someone else.

3. If you are not going to keep it stored away in its box you need to figure out a place to put it. Since it needs to be covered with a sheen of oil/protectant and it could possibly be razor sharp It really needs a proper home. If you get the sword sharpened just walking around with it indoors is a chore. There’s not much you can even lay it down on for fear that it will cut somebody or some thing or get the surface  covered in oil.

4.   The pommel and cross guard are quite robust. This should be taken into consideration when planning on how you will display it. If you decide to wall hang it the basic universal sword hanger will not be adequate. You will need to go with something more substantial.

So I have had this for about 7 months and it looks fantastic on my wall. I always loved the Movies back in the day, and have wanted this sword every since I was a child. Its heavy and bulky not fit for a real sword battle, but can be used as a lethal weapon if your in good physical condition. I workout everyday and use this for pumping iron instead of lifting weights. They nailed the details and looks in every possible way if you watch the movies you can compare both of them. I purchase mine sharpened since real swords should have a sharp edge anyway.

So this is a real fully functional weapon if sharpened, this is the first real sword I have purchased. Long stroy short I was at a local sword shop and bought a cheap copy for only $117, the next day the handle broke so I took it back and got a refund. Then I stumbled upon MRL and saw this one, so far it has giving me a good workout especially my hands, wrist, and shoulders being at 8lbs. It will cut anything with enough force, I cut a piece of hardwood in half, now its starting to loosen just a little where the guard and handle are locked in, but this is normal  all functional swords  after doing research have to be maintained like everything else, but its easliy repairable as this is a full-tang weapon. I always wanted the Conan Sword growing up

This sword is a beautiful, well-built BEAST!

Mine just came today its awsome!! Ive been looking for this sword for a long time i know theres alot of cheap fakes out there. This sword looks awsome its heavy and very detailed only complaint is the so called deep ruines they are basically a sticker but other then that its a well made sword. This is my first sword ive ever bought and im very happy with the purchase and for the price it was worth it. If i ever do buy another sword ill defenitly buy it from here

Awesome sword. The detail in the casings is superb, and the bronze finish was done very well. See my review of the fathers sword about the etching as they appear to be done the same. I ordered it sharpened and it was done very well, extremely sharp with nice clean lines. And while this sword weighs more than the fathers sword it is better balanced and feels a little more lively in the hand. Fitment is great, everything is tight and secure.
