Fees: 2024–25 Academic Year
With effect from 1 September 2024, fees for Chinthurst have been set by the Governors as follows:
Nursery (Little Chicks & Kindergarten)
In Little Chicks and Kindergarten fees are £450 per morning per term (see minimum attendance below)
Little Chicks: Children attend for a minimum 3 mornings: £1,350 per term (£450 x 3)
Kindergarten: Children attend for a minimum 5 Mornings: £2,250 per term (£450 x 5)
Children can attend additional morning sessions (in Little Chicks) or stay for full days (in Little Chicks and Kindergarten). These optional sessions are charged as follows:
Additional Morning in Little Chicks 8.25 am – 12.00 pm: £450 per morning per term (for example, 5 mornings would be £450 x 5 = £2,250 per term)
Full Days in Little Chicks and Kindergarten (including lunch) 8:25 am – 3.30 pm: £965 per day per term (for example, 5 full days would be £965 x 5 = £4,825 per term)
Reception
£4500 per term (including lunch)
Lower School (Year 1 & Year 2):
£4,590 per term (including lunch)
Upper School (Years 3 – 6):
£6,310 per term (including lunch)
Wraparound care (before & after school) and holiday clubs are charged separately and in addition.
Surrey County Council Funding
We accept the Surrey County Council Early Years Funding (15 hours per week) for children between their third and fifth birthdays (available from the term after they turn three up to and including the term in which they turn five).
Government Childcare Vouchers
We accept childcare vouchers and the Government tax free childcare scheme for extra curricular activities – full details can be obtained from the Reigate Grammar School Finance Department.
Sibling Discount
There is a discount of 5% for a second child and 10% for a third child attending Chinthurst, Reigate St Mary’s or Reigate Grammar School at the same time.
Payment
School fees are payable in full by the first day of term. Payment is by termly direct debit (which is our preference – a DD form can be found here), by direct credit into the school’s bank account or by cheque. The tuition fee is subject to alteration at one term’s notice.
The school operates a ‘Fees in Advance’ scheme for those parents who wish to reduce the cost of their child’s education by making an advance lump-sum payment to the school. The school also offers a monthly payment scheme via the school fee finance provider ‘School Fee Plan’.
Credit is subject to status, affordability, terms and conditions apply. Over 18s only. Failure to keep up with your repayments could result in your agreement being cancelled.

Other
No remission of school fees can be made in the case of absence from school, whether because of illness, injury or any other cause. The School does, however, offer a School Fees Insurance Scheme for children from Reception upwards, which provides parents with a cover against loss of fees in such an eventuality. All pupils are included in a Personal Accident Insurance scheme, but parents are advised to ensure that their child’s property and clothing is covered by their own household policy.
Deposits
A non-refundable registration fee of £150 is required.
A deposit of £500 is required per pupil upon acceptance of offer. This deposit is refundable when a pupil leaves the school.
